You should see acrater-like eye-socket in the skull. If you don’t, you’re on the wrong side and need to go on the other one.

Place the boulder into the crater, and if you’re successful in your placing, thegame will automatically register that you’ve placed itand give a short cutscene (much like it does when you receive a Korok Seed).Don’t let go until it does this, or you’ll drop the boulder on yourself (ouch!).

Map Location And Link Glides To Temple Cave Entrance For Hebra Fossil

How To Complete Hebra’s Colossal Fossil

This fossil islocated on the east side of Hebra North Summit. To reach it, the easiest method would be toglide from one of the two shrines found during theWind Temple ascentin the Sky(Kahatanaum Shrine is the best for this).

Unlike the Eldin Fossil, however, thisfossil cannot be seen from the sky. You should note agrove of trees and an area that looks like it’s sloping downwardinto the base of the mountain. At the bottom of that slope is what appears to be acave entrance.

Link Looks At Hidden Bone In Rock Wall Next To Hebra Fossil

This cave entrance is marked by atemple-like doorwayand cannot be mistaken as a simple cave. Once inside, it will tell you that you’ve discovered the fossil (even if you can’t see it yet).

Glide downthe cave ofLuminous Stonesto find thefossil at the very bottom. However, it is broken and incomplete. To fix it, you’ll need tofind two bones in this area.

Link Places Bone Back Into Hebra Skeleton Wing

Thefirst bone can be found on the left side of the skeletonand mostlyhidden among some breakable rocks in the wall.Use aBomb Floweror Yunoboto reveal it.

Pick up the boneand turn around to see alarge bone structure on the opposite wall. There are three fingers with a gap between two of them on the right.

Link Melts Ice Boulder To Reveal Bone Inside

Take the bone over and rotate ittofit it in the slot on top of the rockon the ground. This may take a few tries depending on how you rotated it.

Don’t let go of the boneuntil the game accepts the position you’ve placed it in.

Link Places Vertebra Piece Back Into Bone For Hebra Fossil

If it doesn’t, try other rotations andmake sure you’re placing the bone under a bone on topandover the one on the bottom.

With that bone in place, you’ll no doubt have noticed thegiant ice boulder next to you on the left.Melt itto reveal yoursecond bone.

You can melt this boulder by:

Take the bone to the empty slot between two bonessticking out of the groundbehind you. It should look like a vertebra section.

Rotate the bonejust as you had the one beforeuntil it sticks into the slot. Again, if it doesn’t fit, try other ways of rotating it and slide it back into place until it snaps.

When both bones are in their places, you canreturn to Looneto receive another Purple Rupee and your next map marker.

There isa Bubbulfrogin this cavenear the entrance.

How To Complete Gerudo’s Colossal Fossil

Locatedpast the Lightning Templein thefar southwestern corner of Gerudo Desert, this fossil is buried underneath the sandsin a cave of a rocky outcropping. Like the Hebra Colossal Fossil, youcannot see it from above.

You can travel to this distant location via many methods, but thefastest route is to rent aSand Sealfrom Gerudo Town and travel around the Lightning Temple.

Beware of the Arbiter’s Grounds area. The quicksand here can make travel difficult, so give it a wide berth.

Entering the cave, there arethree bonesyou need to deal with. The first is provided for you— a head at the front of the cave, soall you’ll need to find are two others.

To begin with, climb the fossil to the top of its skullvia climbing or the use of Ascend. Once you reach it, you should see that theceiling above you is covered in breakable boulders.Break them withBomb-Fused Arrowsto have the fossil drop onto the ground.

Drop from the skulland look around forafanpartially buried in a pile of sand. you’re able to use this fan toreveal several items(including a chest) and, most importantly, yoursecond required piece of bone(the tail)beside the pond of fairiesand within sight of Loone’s camp.

Take the tail bone and Attach it to the piece that fell from the ceiling. You should attach it tothe end that doesn’t have the rib cage.

Pick up the Attached piecesandbring them to the head piece. Loone may interrupt you to talk about the pieces you found, but ignore her andAttach the head to the side with the ribs. This shouldcreate a fossil shape mimicking the largest fossil.

Speak with Loone, and she’ll congratulate you on finishing the “Leviathan child” fossil. Her thank you will be another Purple Rupee, and you’ll then be free to go on your merry, adventuring way.
