Things go from bad to worse quite often inFinal Fantasy 16, and the sequence of events surrounding the Free Cities of Kanver is no exception. With the help of his companions, Clive seeks to find and rescue any survivors he can from the Orcish and Akashic soldiers plaguing the city.

This will prove no easy task, as the enemies are numerous and powerful. Not only that, but a terrifying and mysterious enemy waits at the end of the stage, ready to humiliate you if you go in to the battle unprepared. Read on to find out what awaits you.
Finding Survivors
It won’t be long from the beginning of the stage before you encounter your first enemies. After leaving the alleyway you start in and heading underneath a canopy, you’ll face someOrcs, who shouldn’t provide much resistance. Cross the bridge to then fight someWaloeder Akashics.

Make sure youdefeat the spellcasterbefore going after the Tognvaldr, or he’ll probably get some annoying hits in with his ranged spells as you’re trying to focus.
A little further into the stage, you’ll see alarge group of Orcs and Akashic. If you spent all your best abilities on the previous fight, it may be worth waiting at the top of the stairs and letting themrechargebefore diving in.
Thespellcasters here cast Protect- take them out as soon as possible to simplify things.
Open the nearby gate and then climb the stairsahead to come to the next pack of enemies, which includes someRoyal Mastiffs and an Akashic Sveithvaldr- a brutish axe-wielder.
Continue on, defeating the enemies as you go. When you reach a very large square filled with foes and a gate to open, verify you check the wall to the right of the gate for achestthat contains2,000 gil.
Through the gate, you’ll fight two waves of Orcs, with anOrcish Warlordappearing after the first wave is depleted. Beware of its ranged attacks and ability to teleport.

Press on, opening the chest in the next area to getThe Favor of Light (Flare Breath). You’ll faceWraithsin the next area, followed byRevenants, Specters, and then then theboss of the stage.
