This hectic stage proves thatFinal Fantasy 16has no chill, and will thrust you into chaos with the slightest warning. At this point, though, you should have seen it coming. Follow on below to guided through this level, bosses and all.
The Rooftops Of Twinside
You’ll begin this stage on the rooftops after climbing out of the inn’s window.Climb along the rooftopsand head to the balcony on the left. Press on, parkouring through the linear path, and you’ll come across your first fight of the stage.
Dragoon Knightsare your regular melee-oriented soldier enemies. Cut them down and move on down the nearby steps. The second pack of enemies includesDragoon Astrologers, who are very quick to cast Cure on their damaged comrades.Make them the priorityto avoid prolonging the fight.
This second fight will end with aDragoonattacking you. This will be a familiar fight by now, and this version of the enemy doesn’t have any of the gimmicky attacks that previous versions have. Justfocus on timing your dodges from the enemy’s Jump attacks, and you’ll come out on top.
After beating the Dragoon, find a chest nearby that contains15 chunks of Wyrritebefore moving on underneath the broken arch to the left.
Reaching The Belltower
After sliding down the steep ramp into the sewers underneath Twinside, you’ll be on a narrow path. Fight theMegalocrabson the way forward and press on until you reach some docks.
Here, pull the lever on the goods lift, and you’ll reach the next area.
The next pack of enemies includes aDragoon Captain, who will try to guard.Break the guard with an Eikonic ability, mop him up with the rest of the soldiers, and continue on under the burning debris ahead.
You’ll faceElite War Wyrmsin the next pack of enemies, and they can be very annoying. They’re flyers who love to pelt you with ranged attacks, interrupting your combos. If you haveFlames of Rebirth or Aerial Blastat the ready, these will simplify this battle incredibly. Otherwise,Garuda’s Deadly Embracewill be a huge help in eliminating them first.
After defeating the first wave of enemies, anElite War Aeviswill join the fray. Treat this like all other aevises in the game, and be aware that it’sone of the more aggressive ones.
Once you’ve felled theElite War Aevis, the way forward is through a nearby metal gate. UseTorgal’s animal instinctto locate it if you can’t find it.
Through the gate, open the chest to getten Sharp Fangs and ten Steelsilk, thenclimb the ladder.
The next few areas should not hold any surprises for you. There are some small packs of enemies and anotherDragoonencounter to get past, but nothing that should test you too hard.
When you reach a large building with some enemies to fight on the stairs, check the ground floor for achest next to a flagcontainingThe Favor of Earth (Raging Fists).
If you useRaging Fists, this is a very good accessory - increasing damage on a quality, balanced move is great.
Through the double doors opposite the chest, you’ll reach thefirst bossfight of the stage.
How To Beat The White Dragon
While this looks like the Akashic Dragon you fought in Drake’s Head, this is, in fact, anice-elemental dragon.

The Remnants
Once the cutscenes have played out, you’ll be in theRemnants, the newly-ruined parts of Twinside.
You canspeak to Goetzhere if you need to restock on anything - he has access toCharon’s full storeand alsoBlackthorne’s full upgrading and reinforcing services. Get what you need from Goetz, and thenspeak to Jillto continue on with the rest of the stage.
The Remnantsare trickier to navigate than the streets before, but the path forward is still as linear as any other stage in the game. Press on until you reach your first pack of enemies - these are just regular enemies, butAkashic. Mechanically, they’re identical. Take them out as usual.
The area behind the gate contains an encounter with a Lich.If you need a refresher on these grotesque enemies, click here.
After killing the Lich, climb the nearby ledge (use Torgal’sanimal instinctif you cannot spot it) and open the chest to the right of the gap in the railings. It contains 15 pinches ofMagicked AshandThe Breath of Lightning (Judgment Bolt). If you find yourself a fan of Ramuh’s ultimate ability, this is a great facilitator of destruction.
The rest of this stage is a simple affair; you’ll face multiple groups offamiliar enemiesas you make your way towards the goal, includingSpecters, Wraiths, and Revenants. There is also a fight against anUndertaker, which you first fought at Drake’s Fang.
