How To Complete Mayachin Shrine: A Fixed Device

When you walk into this shrine, you’ll first come to a large gap. In the center, there will be a rotating device with a platform attached -use this to hop over to the other side. Here is where you’ll face the real puzzle of the shrine.

There are someZonai Stakesto use for this puzzle. If you haven’t encountered them before, Stakes are small objects with spikes that you caninsert into almost any object using Ultrahand. When you deactivate Ultrahand, if the spike is within something solid, the Stake will stay put.

This allows you to attach larger, different objects to pieces of the environment that otherwise wouldn’t let you.

The goal of this shrine is toknock one of the oncoming balls into the large targetthat appears when you stand on the nearby button. To do this, you’ll need to create a bat in the device on the ground ahead of you.

There’s agapbetween the raised platform and the floor below! Don’t fall into the bottomless pit.

One solution to this puzzle is tocreate a bat by first placing the Stake into the rotating device’s side and then attaching two poles, attached end-to-end, onto the Stake. Now, when you strike the switch on the raised platform to activate the rotating device, it will swing the ‘bat’.

If you find that you’ve put the Stake and bat into the wrong side of the rotating device, simply take it out andswitch sides.

Using this makeshift bat, time your switch hit so that you hit the ball as it’s rolling towards you. It may take a few attempts to get the timing right, but you should be able to hit it with enough force to smack the target.

Hitting the target on the left will unlock the exit. To reveal the target on the right, you’ll need to first remove the dangling metal plate. To do this, take a different Stakefrom the one you used to construct the bat andplace it in the roof of the floating platformthat the panel is dangling from. Then, use Ultrahand to raise it up andattach it to the Stake, keeping it out of the way.

Once you’ve revealed the second target, you can use the rotating device bat again. Simply swap the side that the bat is on and you’ll be able to strike the rolling ball toward the other target. This will reveal a chest that contains anEnergizing Elixir.

With that, the shrine is complete.
