The Lake Hylia Crystal is a hidden Shrine Quest in theLegend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. To trigger the quest, you need to throw yourself into the raging whirlpool that is constantly churning on the east side of Lake Hylia.

Once you discover the shrine, you might be wondering where to find the crystal, since all the game tells you is that it is above you somewhere. Successfully finding this crystal and bringing it to the shrine will unlock the Rauru’s Blessing-type En-oma Shrine. Here’s how to find it and complete the crystal puzzle.

How To Complete The Lake Hylia Crystal Quest

You canreach the whirlpool in Lake Hyliaby flying down from thePopla Foothills Skyview Tower, or you can glide over fromIn-Isa Shrinefrom the Great Sky Island.

Entering the whirlpool willspit you out in the Lake Hylia Whirlpool Cave, where you will find an empty shrine in front of you.

Interact with En-oma Shrine to trigger theLake Hylia Crystal Shrine quest.

As soon as you do this, you’ll notice the beam of light pointing towards the crystal isdirectly up in the air. The crystal is actuallyin the sky, on a tiny islandyou have to reach from elsewhere.

Getting The Crystal To En-Oma Shrine

If you open your map and navigate to the Sky section while in the cave, you’ll notice there is afloating island above youat this location. This is where you’llfind the crystal.

To reach it, you should teleport back toNachoya Shrineon the Great Sky Island from the start of the game near the Room of Awakening.

Alternatively, you can teleport to thePopla Foothills Skyview Towerand launch yourself into the air.

From Nachoya Shrine, use Ascend to reach the top side of the cave outside. Run up as far as you can, past the big tree, passing over the Room of Awakening.

When you climb up another ledge and reach the end of the island,jump off the edge towards Lake Hylia.

Directly above the whirlpool, you willbegin to see the beam of lightpointing to where the crystal is hiding.

Glide over andland on this islandto pick the crystal up. The crystal is sat in front of a square gap in the floor.

Grab the crystal and slowly walk it off the edge. You will fall while holding the crystal, but feel free to let go of it.

Simply fall theentire distance into Lake Hylia.

When you hit the water, you will becaught in the whirlpooland you will drop the crystal. But don’t worry, it will getsucked into the whirlpoolas well without a problem.

The crystal will come with you andappear in the cavewhen you land. Thankfully, the crystal lands on the ground.

All you need to do is swim to land, grab it, andtake it over to the shrine entranceto unlock En-oma Shrine.

The treasure from thisRauru’s Blessing shrineis aMighty Zonaite Sword, but the real treasure is the Light of Blessings you get along the way.
