Getting Lurelin Starting Quest At Lookout Landing At Market

Your tasks will take you from Lookout Landing to Lurelin to Hateno and everywhere in between. You’ll need to ensure you’re in top condition and fully stocked before taking on this challenge. If you haven’t gotten your fix of monster-mashing and tedious collection quests, don’t worry; you will.

Village Attacked By Pirates

To get started, you’ll want toventure to Lookout Landingandspeak with the two peoplehaving a conversationin the merchant’s tent(where you can buy armor and general goods). They’ll talk about the village of Lurelin being raided, and they’ll ask Link to investigate.

Once you accept the quest, you canleave for Lurelin Villageon the farsoutheastern peninsula of Hyrule.

Link Finds Bolson And Rozel At Camp North Of Lurelin

A geoglyph can be found near Lurelin Village for those seeking to collect them all, though completing or not, this questline will not affect your ability to gather Dragon’s Tears.

On the cliffside above Lurelin Village, you may findBolson and Chieftain Rozeljust outsideSifumim Shrine.Speak with themto learn about the monsters that have taken over Lurelin Village.

Link Fights Monster Forces At Lurelin Village

From here, the"Village Attacked By Pirates"can be finished by simply returning to Lookout Landing to speak with the merchants who gave you the quest. In the meantime, you’ll be given the quest “Ruffian-Infested Village.” On your own time, you’ll need to defeat every monster in Lurelin Village.

Clearing Out Lurelin Village

There arenumerous monstersin Lurelin, and most are situated in camps around the massive Pirate Ship in the center of town. You cantake on each of these camps one at a time, typically, without being overwhelmed by all at once.

Many of them will be Blue and Black Bokoblins, so you’ll need asurplus of strong weaponsandeffective meals.

Link Finds Final Monster In Well At Lurelin Village

The recommended route to take is tostart on the right side of townas you enter (the west, from your map’s perspective). From there, take on all the Bokoblin camps in a clockwise fashionaround the beach butstop when you spy a well.

Take a moment todrop into this well, where you can find asingle Black Bokoblinhiding down here. As Bolson said, he can’t rebuild with even a single Bokoblin left, and this one’s part of the count.

Link Runs Toward Pirate Ship Full Of Monster Forces

Take out the Bokoblinat the bottom of the well and thenuse Ascend to return to Lurelin Village.

Other than this one Bokoblin, there are no other Bokoblins hiding or outside the main space of the village. You do not want to pass through the village borders marked by two torches and an archway, as monsters will not count toward the overall mission if they exist beyond its borders.

Link Swings Boko Reaper Into Black Lizalfos Gut On Back Deck of Pirate Ship

The clockwise formation shouldstop once you reach the Bokoblins around the firepit with roasted fish. The waterfront and the pirate ship will be ahead.

To reach the pirate ship, throw a pine cone onto the fireto create an updraft. Jump and deploy your paraglider to rise andglide over to the ship.Once above the monsters on the ship, you candraw your bow and begin firing.

Chief Comments On The State Of Destroyed Lurelin Village

There arebomb barrelson the main deck you’ll want to light as you glide in.

Defeat all the monsters on board, and they should be the last ones. If you’re missing any monsters toward your count, you might have:

Map Location North Of Lurelin Village Tree Grove

Once all monsters are defeated, you’ll be forced to speak with Bolson and the chief. This will lead to theLurelin Restoration Project. If you thought you could rest easy after these battles, think again.

Gathering Supplies

Your first mission toward restoring this town is togather supplies for Bolson to use in the restoration project.Unfortunately, neither is easily gained. You’ll need:

To sweeten the deal, youcan’t use any of the palm treesin town for the log count. You’ll need totravel farther northtocut down 15 trees and deliver them back to Bolson.

Link Fights Evermean Tree Gathering Logs In Moonlight

15 Logs To Madness

There is agroup of exactly 15 treesjust north of Lurelin Village and on thecliffside to the left near the road-split. However, it’susually raining in this area, so unless youhave the Froggy Armor, you’ll want to continue around the cliffside to a safer spot to climb up.

Once you reach the top of the cliff, you canbegin chopping down trees. And if you thought this would be a calm task, you thought wrong.

Link Rides Horse Pulling Cart With Nine Logs

Some of the trees in this area are Evermeans, the living and highly aggressive trees, and they won’t take kindly to you whacking them with a crude stone axe. Additionally,if you come at night, Stalkoblins will come outof the ground and join the Evermeans in their fight. You’ll need todefeat them allto clear the area.

You will likely be cutting grass while you fight. If it is raining while the battle occurs, you’ll have a small chance to gain some additional Hylian Rice when you cut grass.

With all 15 trees chopped, you’ll need tofind a way to transport them back.At thebase of the cliffs on the north side, there is asmall building pitstopwith wooden boards you may use to create something that can help. At this time, your options can include:

Horse And Cart

A horse with enough Pull (4-5 Stars) might be able to take a cart with all logs.

Vehicle

You can build a vehicle with large wheels (provided you have a steering mechanism and the wheels)

Manual Labor

You can carry all logs attached to one another with Ultrahand and walk down the hill.

In the long run, doing someManual Labor(if you don’t already have a build ready with Autobuild) will always be thefaster route. This is because:

For the fastest and easiest route,Attach all 15 logsto each other in stacks of three across andcarry them down the hill to Bolson.

If you need thetrees to respawn, you only need toleave the area and return. All 15 trees will reappear.

20 Rice Richer

Gathering Hylian Rice can be a headache thanks to their rarity and the consumption of your time and (if you purchase them) money. You can find Hylian Rice usingtwo main methods:

Whilepurchasing Hylian Rice is easy and fast, you likely willnot be able to purchase enoughHylian Rice in a single run to reach all 20 in the early-to-mid game.

Additionally, if you purchase most of them, you willspend more money on this quest than you will receivein rupee rewards.

You canpurchase Hylian Rice at:

If you don’t want to spend the funds, you can spend timecutting grass with a long, bladed weapon. The best location to find them is in thearea around Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower in and around the lowland water.

Otherwise, you can find it in severalareas around Hateno Village.

If you need to respawn grass to cut, you can leave the area via Fast Travel and return. Otherwise, you canreturn to Lurelin Village with all 20 bushels of Hylian Rice.

Rebuilding Lurelin

If you thought you were finally done, congratulations! You’re not.

All of your materials were used for the foundations of the buildings, and the thatched rooves have yet to be placed.

In the meantime, Bolson will need your help withfive more odd projects.

You’ll need to do a fewmini-quests around town at buildings of your choice. They includethree business establishments and two houses.

You can do them inany orderyou like, and you can do themat your own pace; leave and come back later, if you’d like.

Speak with Bolsonandselect the building projectyou’d like to undertake. Agree when he says you should move to the building, and he’ll tell you what to do.

Some projects will be similar to others, and many of them can be very frustrating with the rotation controls. Be patient and continue trying until you get the right angle. If all else fails, try finding somewhere higher to stand.

Chief’s House

x3 Armored Porgy Fish

Move aside or throw the box off the top of the house’s structure. Then, cut down a straight palm tree. Find a high position and slide the palm tree log through the top circle and into the hole below.

Armes’s House

Purple Rupee (and chest with Red Rupee and two swords)

Cut down a straight palm tree and slide it through the top circle and into the hole below.

If you’re having trouble with your view, as the palm trees can obscure your camera, climb on the far right side of the building and stand on top of one of the structure’s pillars. Or, alternatively, chop down the palm tree in your way.

The Lucky Treasure Shop

x5 Bomb Flowers

Cut down any palm tree and then climb onto the second floor of the establishment. Place the log through the top circle and into the pot below.

Inn

x5Voltfruit

Climb the building and look into the pond below. Take out the log and one board to throw aside. Then, jump onto the remaining board to use as a platform. Look down to pull out the two wooden beams at the bottom. Once both are out, climb back up and pull the board out.

Restaurant

ToughSeafood Fried Rice

Move all boxes in the restaurant out, placing them anywhere. Then, cut down a straight palm tree. From a high point, slide the log through the upper circle and into the hole below.

If you have trouble getting the logs to fit in the house or restaurant puzzles, make sure you have astraight palm tree. These puzzles cannot be done with the curved palm trees.

Additionally, climbing onto the pillars is recommended to gain a higher vantage as Link’s height and positioning can make it difficult to get the right angle for some of these tasks.

With all these buildings finally put back together, Lurelin Village will be complete. You’ll be brought to a feast where the villagers willthank you by giving you absolutely nothing. Your reward for this quest will befree meals, free stays at the inn, and the chance to play a treasure chest mini-game.

However, at least you may finally wash your hands of this place, and maybe the real treasure was the monsters we got to beat up along the way.
