Makurukis Shrine (Combat Training: Archery) Walkthrough

Found in thesouthwestportion of theHyrule Ridgeregion is theMakurukis Shrine,which will have Link complete a couple ofArchery-based challengesto claim theTreasure ChestandLight of Blessing.

Makurukis Shrine: Archery Challenge One

Upon entering the Makurukis Shrine, you will be greeted with text on the screen that explains how theTraining Constructsin this Shrineonly take damage via your Bow and Arrow.Anything else will be ineffective, forcing you to put your Archery skills to the test.

The Shrine’sfirst challengeis simple:Land a headshot on the Training Construct.If youdo not have a Bow or any Arrows,you’re able to findseveral of them leaning on the Weapons Rackto theleft,so gather them if you need or want them.

ThisTraining Construct is wide-open when the challenge begins,so if youtake aim as soon as you gain movement,you can land a headshot with little to no effort, as it won’t have time to fire back at you.

However,if you have to scramble to grab the provided Bows and Arrows,you will have tododge its shot before taking aim.Still, it’swell-telegraphed and easily avoidable.Just look for it to pull the string back and move to the left or right the moment you see it release the Arrow.

Makurukis Shrine: Archery Challenge Two

Landing a headshot on the first Training Construct will begin thesecond challenge,which involves you having toland headshots on three Training Constructs.This can be a bit tricky if you’re not the best at Archery in this game, but there’s a trick to this challenge.

On theleft and right side of the arenaaretwo pillars with an extended platformon them, allowing you to use yourAscend abilitywhenunder the extended portiontoget on topof it.

Not only does this give you a height advantage, butjumping off the platform and aiming with your Bowwillslow time down,allowing you toshoot all three Training Constructs in the head before you hit the groundto complete the challenge swiftly and in style.

Makurukis Shrine: Rewards

Completing the second challenge of the Makurukis Shrine willopen the gate,leading you to aTreasure Chestand theLight of Blessing.Open the Chest to receive theStrong Construct Bow,which has theAttack Potencyof11,then head up to the statues to receive your Light of Blessing to complete the Shrine!
