The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdomhas a wide range of side quests for you to complete all over Hyrule. While you’re visiting Goron City, you may come across two elderly Gorons named Volcon and Tray, reminiscing about a place they visited when they were young.

However, they can’t remember exactly where the place is. They give you a hint as to its location, but they will need a photo to remember it fully and visit it again for themselves. Here’s where you can find the place they’re thinking of and complete the Moon-Gazing Gorons side quest.

How To Initiate The Moon-Gazing Gorons Quest

After completing theYunobo Of Goron City main quest, head to the inn in Goron City.Speak to the two elderly Goronsstanding outside, named Volcon and Tray.

They’ll tell you about a place they used to visit in their youth where you could seethe full moon shining on the ground at midday. However, they can’t remember the exact location,only that it’s found at Lake Ferona.

To help them remember, you cantake a photo of the full moon shining on the ground.

Where To Find The Full Moon Shining At Midday

The only clue Volcon and Tray give you is that the location isat Lake Ferona in Eldin Canyon, so head there.

The lake is south of Death Mountain. Go tothe Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower, and the lake isdirectly east from there.

Head tothe west side of the lake— it’s the closest side to you if you came from the Tower.

Look to the side of the lake that’s closest to Death Mountain. You should seetwo cave entrances on the side of the mountain.

Head through the one at the bottom andwalk through until you reach the edge of a platform.

To be able to see the moon shining through the entrance above you,the in-game clock needs to be at midday.

If it’s not the correct time,make a fireby dropping a bundle ofWoodand a piece ofFlint, then striking the flint.Sit by the fire until Noon.

As soon as it’s the right time, a circle of moonlight will appear in front of you.Take out your camera and snap a picture of it.

You’ll know the photo has registered for the quest because ofthe red exclamation point (!) that appears on it.

Now,head back to Volcon and Tray in Goron City. Talk to them and Link will show them the picture. As a reward, they’ll give you100 rupees.
