Where To Start Treasure Hunt: The Sword, Famine and Perfidy
This quest starts on the coastlinenorth of Novigrad,near the spot where Geralt awakens after being shipwrecked inEvil’s Soft First Touches.Traveleast of the site,reaching a pack of drowners outside a house.
After killing the monsters, go inside anddestroy the barrels on the right side of the house.They are covering a trapdoor, which you will be able to open after removing the obstruction. The quest starts inside.
Getting The Treasure
Once inside, you will be able toloot several containers,though the real prize is on the corpse. It containsa key and a notethat pertain toa sunken treasure chestin the waters between the house and Novigrad.
You will not have to swim to the ship.You can find a boat southwest of the house,which will let you reach the shipwreck far more easily than doing so manually.
You will need toreach a sunken shipto find the treasure chest. When you arrive, dive andkill the two drowners with Geralt’s crossbow.Once they are slain, the coast is clear for you to loot the chest.
Inside, you will find aGreater Stribog Runestone and florens.The quest will end after you pilfer the container.
The florens can beconverted into crownsat theVivaldi bank, in Novigrad.Talk to Vimme Vivaldi at the establishment to make the trade.
