Faroe, a populated island in Skellige’s southwest may not be the most exciting place inThe Witcher 3.It plays host to just two small settlements, one of which is overrun by slavers, with little relevance to Geralt’s search. Despite this, it’s still home to several secrets that can help you on your journey.

The Treasure Hunt: Hidden in the Depths is found on the island’s south and gives you a chance to get your hands on a rare item. There is, of course, a catch; you’ll have to contend with dangerous monsters best fought when you’re later in the game.

Where To Start Treasure Hunt: Hidden In The Depths

This treasure hunt isin Skellige’s south,on the coastsouthwest of Harviken.You’ll have to go off-road to find a coastal cave, where a body is slumped outside. It’s guarded byan endrega worker,which you’ll have to kill before continuing.

While you’re at Faroe, you can startThe Price of Honor,a short and tragic quest that gives you a darker perspective on Skellige’s faith.

Rifle through the corpse’s pockets to take aletter and a key.From here, you’ll have todive into the ocean to reach the cave,where treasure awaits.

Clearing The Cave

Be prepared toswim through a tunnelto reach the cave. Keep heading straight to findthe cave on the other side,where you may find air, the treasure, and a small hive of insectoid monsters.

This cave is not long enough to need Killer Whale, though you maybenefit from drinking Cat,given how dark the rest of the quest will be.

You’ll be facingendrega drones and a venomous arachashere. While the former are easily dealt with, the latter is far more dangerous. It’s bothtougher and deadlierthan its smaller counterparts, taking more effort to kill.

Be especially wary ofits poison-based attacks.These will rapidlysap Geralt’s healthif you aren’t careful.Golden Oriole will protect you from its effects.

Once you’ve cleared the cave, useGeralt’s Witcher Sensesto find a chest tucked away in the back. Open for your reward and to end the quest.
