Out of all the monstrous designs inThe Witcher 3,there are mercifully few creatures that resemble the dreaded spider. Most insectoid monsters draw their inspiration from scorpions and crabs instead of the eight-legged, eight-eyed, web-laying arachnids that are so terrifying that players often find methods to remove them from their games.

If, for whatever reason, you actually want to fight a spider-like monster, you may try the treasure hunt, The Drakenborg Redemption. This short quest will treat you to a cave of spider-like arachnomorphs to satisfy your bizarre desires. It will also provide you with a chest of money to reward your bravery.

Where To Start Treasure Hunt: The Drakenborg Redemption

This treasure hunt is in thenortheast of Velen, north of Yantrawhere the questLittle Redtakes place. Take the northern road out of the town to reachthe cave where you start the quest.

You will be confronted witha swarm of arachnomorphsat the entrance. These monsters strongly resemble spiders thanks to theirtarantula-like exoskeletonandwebbing,which they use to restrain Geralt.

After you survive the first swarm,search the corpse near the entranceto retrieve the letter and key ended for the quest.

Reaching The Treasure

The reward isdeeper in the cave,throughanother swarm of arachnomorphs.Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts, meaning that you will need to traverse the length of the cave to reach the chest.

There will beanother swarm of arachnomophsbefore you reach the last chamber, where afinal and larger arachnomorph awaits.

This foe willfight differently than its smaller brethrengiven that it does not have a swarm to rely on. Deal with it similar to a single, large monster instead of a large group of smaller ones.

Look for ahalf-buried boxnext to a shovel in the last room. Your reward ofNilfgaardian florensis locked inside. While you won’t be able to use this currency immediately, you canexchange it for crownsat theVivaldi Bankin Novigrad.
