If you’ve reached the end ofThe Witcher 3and need a challenge to test your mettle before moving on, you could try the Treasure Hunt: Unlucky’s Treasure. It’s a quest intended for Level 48 players, people who’ve survived everything the game has to offer.

Attempting the quest will pit you against a high-level Archgriffin on a remote island in Skellige, a confrontation not to be attempted by the unprepared. If you’ll like to give the battle a shot, this guide will show you where the quest begins and where to find the hidden treasure after you’ve slain the beast.

Where To Start Unlucky’s Treasure

You’ll have tosail to Snidhall Isle,a remote island justnorth of Ard Skellig.The closest harbors are atKaer Trolde Harbor and Ancient Crypt,where you can find a boat for the journey.

While you’re on the island, you can start the questFree Spirit,which has you bringfive rare booksto a Skelliger trying to lawyer his way through religion for love.

When you arrive,head up the hills,to the tallest part of the island. There you will find your quarry,an extremely high-level archgriffin.The monster will be a challenging battle, but itisn’t the main focus of the quest.

Where To Find The Treasure

After killing the archgriffin,search the bodies within its nest.One of them has a set of notes and a key for a chest. Read the notes to start the quest itself. They’ll lead you a short distancenorth, to another set of bodies.

While you can find some treasure on the corpses, the loot you are looking for isburied in a chest next to the bodies, in a pit.Open the chest with the key to end the quest.
