How To Beat Sínodo, Hymn of the Thousand Voices
Thevast majority of Sínodo’s attacks are Fire-based, with a few being Miasma, sofill all your Rosary Bead Slots up with items that prevent against these effects,or you will struggle much more than you should!
With that out of the way,Sínodo only has ten attacks, and while that may not seem like much, all of them hurt. Real bad. But, if you have the proper Rosary Beads equipped and know how to deal with them, you should be able to take them down convincingly!
Please note that you must hit Sínodo in the main head to deal damage. Hitting their body or side heads will be ineffective!
Flame Clouds
Right off the bat,Sínodo will launch theirFlame Cloudsattack at you, whichsummons an orb of fire near youbeforespraying clouds of flame downward, dealingmass Fire Damageon contact. You canEvade through the Flame Cloudsor canAir Dash through the Flame Orbto evade this attack.
Therewill be more than one Flame Orb,asanother one will spawn as soon as the previous one dies out. There will beroughly threeof them, but you candodge all of them the sameway. Justensure you give yourself enough space and timeto react to the other ones!
Double Helix Miasma
Next is theDouble Helix Miasmaattack. Sínodosummons small pairs of Miasma Clouds along the groundbeforesprouting red centipedes from them that ascend upward, creating a Double Helixpattern.
Toevade this attack, look for the pairs of Miasma Clouds on the ground and move to the left or right of them.Thereshould be a wide open area where there aren’t any Miasma Clouds.Make your way over there andwait for the gross centipedes to disappear.
Thisattack deals substantial damage, so ensure you aren’t anywhere nearit when it goes off. You canuse the Bleeding Miracle Prayer to hit Sínodo from a safe distance and deal considerable damageduring this attack!
Miasma Clouds
As soon as the Double Helix Miasma attack ends,Sínodo willsummon a wave of Miasma Clouds across the groundtwo to three times, forcing you to utilize yourDouble Jump and Air Dashto avoid them.
Here, you canjump toward Sínodo and give them a smack in the face a few good times, asdodging the Miasma Clouds isn’t overly challenging,as it just takestiming your Double Jump and Air Dash to land in the gapsbetween the waves.
After thewaves of Miasma Clouds finish, you canland two or three hits on Sínodobefore having to retreat and prepare for their following attacks!
Moving from the Miasma back to the fire,Sínodowillbegin shooting Flame Clouds from a Flame Orb that appears above their head.Retreat to thefar side of the arena and start launching Bleeding Miraclesat them to get your damage in without needing to risk your own life!
Beam Of Fire
Following that,Sínodo will change their face to a woman’sbeforeturning into a raging Beam of Firewith afierce pulse at its base.Standing atthe base of the Beam of Fire will deal mass damage, and so will touching the Beam itself.
So, to avoid this attack, you mustDouble Jump and Air Dash away from the Beam of Firetoland outside of its radius. When itgets closer, Double Jump once more, having the attack end before you touchdownon the ground. Youcannot attack them during this action,so just prepare for what’s next, which is even more fire!
Orbs Of Light
Staying with their new face, Sínodo willsend out a spiraling wave of Orbs of Light, turning this stage of the fight into alight bullet hellsituation. Do your best toweave in and out of the Orbs, launching Bleeding Miracles at themwherever the opportunity presents itself.
You canalso hit them in the head several times with your weapon when the attack ends,so be sure to take advantage of that, as you won’t have many of those chances throughout the course of this encounter!
Fire Breathing
Remaining in their new form,Sínodowill have themiddle-most face on both sides of their body begin to Breathe Fire, covering avast area in frontof them, forcing you totemporarily back off.
However, as you may have suspected, you canpelt them with more Bleeding Miracles here, allowing you tochip away at their health from a safe-ish distancewithout too much of a risk. When thisattack ends, youcan also get a hit or two in with your weapon, which we recommend doing!
Charging Attack
Next is theirCharging Attack, which has thewoman’s face begin charging before swiftly turning back into the old manandlaunching another Orbs of Light attack.Stand back toavoid the initial explosionof the Charging Attack, thenproceed to dodge the Orbs of Light just as you did before.
From here, you will repeat all the previous attacks of Sínodo’s until you reach their Metal Face stage, which we will cover in the remaining sections below!
Metal Face
After dropping Sínodo’s health a bit past halfway, they will switch to a Metal Face, serving as a DPS check of sorts, similar to when an MMO Boss enters an enraged state, and you must kill them quickly or essentially die. Here, they only have one attack, which we will cover below!
Metal Face: Orbs Of Light Bullet Hell
When Sínodo dawns theMetal Face, they willlaunch seemingly never-ending Orbs of Lightthat aremuch more intense than the ones before it.Here, werecommend trying to weave in and out of thembutultimately trying to use your Bleeding Miraclesto drain their health significantly.
When yourun low on Fervor, try to get in close to land a few attacks, bail, and repeat until you accumulate enoughto use your Bleeding Miraclesagain. This is thefinal stretchandSínodo’s last attack until you or they meet their end!
