The quest Man’s Best Friend focuses on this aspect of war, with Geralt coming to the assistance of a group of orphans. This quest is relatively easy to find, considering that it starts when you find a dog attempting to break into a house in Velen.

Where To Start Man’s Best Friend

Man’s Best Friend isbetween the Inn at the Crossroads and Mulbrydale Fast Travel points,in the north of Velen. It’s easiest to take theroad leading east from the Inn at the Crossroadsand remain on thenorthern pathuntil you find a house with awild dog outside.

There are morewild dogs in the nearby woods.You’ll probably be attacked by them as you travel through the area.

The quest starts immediately. You’ll have tokill the dogto continue the quest, though the beast willautomatically attack Geralt,leaving you with little choice.

Giving The Girl Food Or Money

Once the dog has been put down, you’ll need toinvestigate the house.Approach the door and interact with it. Geralt will knock on the door with a young girl answering him. She explains that they’re a group of orphans that have been without food for a while.

You have to make a choice during the conversation. Geralt canhelp the childrenby giving them eitherfood or money.Both options will end with happy children however disturbing their situation may be.

you’re able to also choose toabandon the children,which will end with them cursing Geralt.
