At the Bazaar, you can purchase items from a variety of vendors, cool off, and stay at the inn for a night. While here, you can also accept the quest Lost in the Dunes. In this guide, we are going to go over how to fully complete this quest, as well as what the rewards are for completion.

Getting To The Kara Kara Bazaar

There is onlyone road that leads into the Gerudo Desert. This road winds through tight canyons and eventually passes the Kara Kara Bazaar, eventually ending at Gerudo Town. If it’s your first time venturing this way, we suggest following this path from Hyrule Field.

The closest tower is theGerudo Canyon Skyview Tower, which is perched high on a cliff. To get here, you will need to raise a variety of platforms to raise yourself (and a worker) up to the tower base.

From the tower, you will just need toglide southwest along the path to reach Kara Kara Bazaar. There is aShrine in the Bazaar area, so once you’ve activated it, you may quickly travel to the area.

Accepting Lost In The Dunes

After making it to the Bazaar, head to the inn.Right outside this building, you will see two NPCs talking. This is Robsten and Benja, who are looking for their missing friend. As it turns out, Ponthos fell into a sinkhole that can be found a short walk from his friends.

From here, you will now need to go find Ponthos! The easiest way to complete this quest is to start from the Kara Kara Bazaar Well, which leads you straight to him.

Finding An Escape Route For Ponthos

The Kara Kara Bazaar Well is located to the right of the inn, and little south of the Oasis. Here, justfollow the water and destroy any breakable rocksthat are in your way. By breaking rocks in the path, you are alsoclearing a route for Ponthos to return to the Bazaar.

You can destroy rocks by using fused weapons,Bomb Flowers, orYunobo’s Sage Ability. After following the water to the Oasis Source, you will find Ponthos. Speak with him, and he will tell you to meet him back at the Bazaar.

You can also work in reverse to complete the quest, starting at the Oasis Source and destroying rocks leading back to the Kara Kara Bazaar Well.Overall, starting the well takes a bit less time, since you will be near it when starting the quest.

Rewards For Completion

As a reward, you will receive alarge orb. This is part ofThe Mysterious Eighth quest, which requires you to gather a bunch of orbs. If you aren’t ready to begin this quest yet, don’t worry. The orb will stay near the Bazaar,so you won’t have to pick it up right away.

To accept The Mysterious Eighth side quest, you will need tospeak with Rotana in the Gerudo Shelter underneath the main building of the town. This NPC will give youThe Heroines' Secretside quest, which needs to be completed first. Once done, speak with Rotana again to begin The Mysterious Eighth.
