After playingHonkai: Star Railfor a little while, you’ll realize that the game’s world is divided into different planets, which are further divided into specific sections. On the map of each section, you’ll see the total number of Basic Chests you can find on the top right side.
Some special puzzles and combat chests aren’t included here, and The Xianzhou Luofu also has some special puzzles that go on for three real-life days. If you want to get 100 percent explorations in the area, you’ll need the location of all the chests you’re able to claim.

Central Starskiff Haven Chest Locations
This is one of the town areas of The Xianzhou Luofuthat only has the 11 Basic Chests, and here’s where you can find them all:
How To Get

Start exploring the area by teleporting to the bottom Space Anchor. Thischest will be found to the South of this Anchornear a closed shop.

Go up North from the first chest and you’ll see a set of stairs on your left.The chest will be to the left above the stairs.

The third chest can be found to the left of Space Anchor,in a little extended area beside another shop.

Keep heading up North until you find another set of stairs. Thischest will be to the left just beside the stairs.

Head up the stairs and turn left to get to a secluded area. Thechest can be found at the bottom of this area.

This chest can be outfar up in the northwest areabeside two Freight Starskiff docks.

Head back out of this northern port and turn right to head into a tiny alley. Keep going andyou’ll find this chest beside another Starskiff dock.

Teleport to the middle Space Anchor in the area and you canfind this chest in the open at the location.

Enter the tiny passage near chest eight and take the first left.Keep going until you find the chest at the end.

Keep going through the tiny passage and you’ll eventually find a door withempty spots on each of its sides. This chest can be found on one of these sides.

If you keep following this path, thefinal chest can be found below one of the shopsin the area.
Exalting Sanctum Chest Locations
This is another town area that unlocks when you progress further into the main story of The Xianzhou Luofu:
Teleport to the bottom Space Anchor and move in the northeast direction. You’llfind the chest right beside one of the shop symbols.
Keep going directly north and you’ll find thesecond chest in the middle of some benchesat the edge.
Head back to the bottom Space Anchor andin the west direction this time. The third chest will be in front of another shop.
This chest is located on the lower floor, andit’s tucked in a corner near one of the exits.
Head over to the bridge where you find a guard that takes you into the main hall.You’ll find this chest just before the bridge.
Teleport to the northern Space Anchor in the area andhead in the west directionto find this chest.
The final chest can be foundtucked near the three shopsin the northeast direction.
Aurum Alley Chest Locations
Here are all the chests you can find in Aurum Alley:
Teleport to the bottom left Space Anchor in the region and you’llfind this chest sitting on your rightas you enter Aurum Alley.
Keep going straight toward the Starskiff Port and you’ll have a few paths cutting off to the right side. The chest can be found on your rightwhen you reach the second path going to the right.
Go a little more toward the main port and you’ll see a path cutting off to your left. This chest can be found once youtake this path and go down a few stairs.
Teleport to the bottom right Anchor and keep going to your right until youreach near the end of the area. You’ll find this chest in a corner near the end.
Head back into the Aurum Alley from the fourth chest and take the first right you see. Keep following this path and you’llfind the chest at the end of a curved edge.
Head back out to the main area and start going toward the dock tofind this chest on your rightafter going up a few stairs.
If you’ve unlocked the Aurum Alley event teleport, head over to it and go back through the main gate of the port. You’llfind this chest tucked beside some boxes on your right.
Cloudford Chest Locations
Cloudford is the first area where you’ll find a bunch of Basic and other special chests.
You’ll see some Hexanexus puzzles in the areas from this point on. In these puzzles,you can select a set of four boxes to rotate simultaneously.
To avoid confusion, consider these puzzles being assigned numbers.The top left arrow will be number one and the bottom right arrow will be number six.
These Hexanexus puzzles will alsoreset once you get all of them in the four non-town areas of The Xianzhou Luofu. The table will mention the solution for both puzzles that you’ll solve in the same location:
Head to the northern Space Anchor and follow the path ahead. You’ll find thefirst chest inside one of the large crates.
Keep heading down and use the stairs to your left whenever you see multiple paths.You’ll see the Warp Trotter below these stairs.
This will be your first Hexanexus puzzle. Solve it by rotating the boxes in the following order:set four to right once - set two to left twice - set six to right once. (consider the note above to know more about the assigned numbers)
After reset, you can solve this by doing the following:set four to right once - set two to right once - set six to left once.
This is a Formidable Foe chest, andyou have to defeat a Wind Centaur enemy to get it.
You can find this chest as you head south from the place where you defeated the Centaur.It’ll be to your left.
At the location, you’ll find a mechanical bird guarded by three enemies.Defeat the Mara-struck soldiers and follow the bird. You’ll also have to move some zip lines to get this chest.
You’ll find some stairs leading up the building at the location,and the chest will be up there.
This is a three-day puzzle whereyou can solve a bunch of Navigation Compasses each day. You’ll have totalk to the NPC called Kai to start it.
This one can be found at theend of the area where you find the puzzle chest number eight.
You simply have torotate set number one to the right side two timesto solve this puzzle.
After reset:rotate set two twice in any direction.
This will be a Formidable Foe chestguarded by two Mara-struck soldiersthat you have to defeat.

Head south from chest number eleven and you’ll find this Hexanexus puzzle. Rotate it in the following manner:set four to the left once - set one to the right once.
After reset:rotate set three to right once - set one to right twice.

This is a Navigation Compass puzzle. To solve it,rotate the smallest and the medium circle twice.

A Basic Treasure Chest can befound near some poles at the location.

It’ll be inside a giant container. You canteleport to the nearby Space Anchor to get to it easily.

Teleport to the Cavern of Corrosion in the area and head in the southern direction. As soon as you cross a gate,you’ll see some stairs leading up the building. You’ll find the chest here.

Head down the stairway and you’ll find thepath to get to this chest right beside it.

To solve this Hexanexus puzzle, rotate:set two to the right twice - set four to the right once.
After reset:rotate set two to left once - set three to left once.

You’ll find a bird at the location,but a Mara-struck soldier will be guarding the entrance. Defeat it and follow the bird.

This can be found after going up a set of stairs in the area, oryou can teleport to the Space Anchor and head west.

To solve this Navigation Compass puzzle,rotate the smallest circle twice and the largest circle once.

This chest is in the open at the location. You canteleport to the Stagnant Shadowto get it if you have it unlocked.
The first Navigation Puzzle can be found right beside the northern Space Anchor. To solve it:rotate the smallest circle twice, and the medium and largest circle once.
Keep going down the path and you’llfind the second chest in your way.
This is a Formidable Foe chest where you’ll have todefeat the Disciple of Sanctus Medicus.
This chest istucked in a corner between a ton of crates and containers. You can easily miss it if you’re not careful.
To solve this Hexanexus puzzle,rotate: set five to left once.
After reset:rotate set four to right once - set six to left once.
Goup the stairs beside chest fourand you’ll find this chest in a corner.
This Hexanexus puzzle is secluded and here’s how to solve it:set one to right once and set two to right twice.
After reset:rotate set three to right twice.
This Formidable Foe chest is guarded by a bunch of small enemies.
You’ll find this chestsecluded to your right sidewhile you’re on your way.
Follow the bird to its destination to get the chest.
This chest is hidden inbetween a bunch of containersat the location.
In this area, you’ll have to move around a bunch of crates to get to the required chest. You canget to the area below by using the path you created while chasing Kafka. After that, move the red containers to get to the chest.
Move back the red container and go back to the top tofind this chest on one of the containers.
The chestcan be found in the open, but there are a bunch of enemies around it.
You’ll find the way to this chest if you go south from chest 14. You’ll have tomove a container to the right to get it.
To solve this navigation puzzle, rotate itwhen both the medium and largest circles are highlighted twice. After that, rotate the largest and the smallest circles until they reach the correct point.
The solution to this Hexanexus puzzle is:set two to the left twice and then set five and six to the right once each.
After reset:rotate set one to left twice - set six to left once.
Can be seen in the open once you reach the location.
You’ll see theAurumaton guarding this chestfrom chest 18.
Top left of the Space Anchor nearby.It’ll be right beside a door you have to openafter you get Warp Trotter on number 24.
Rotate twice when both the smallest and largest circles are highlighted, andthen get the smallest and middle circles to the correct position one by one.
Rotate once when the middle and the largest circles are highlighted,twice when the smallest and largest are highlighted, and finally bring the smallest to the correct position.

Defeat the three waves of enemies and follow the bird to get the chest.

Teleport to the nearby Space Anchor andyou’ll be able to find this Warp Trotterat the location.
Divination Commission Chest Locations
This area is too big, so it’ll be divided into two parts. Here are all the chest locations for the area shown above:
Teleport to the bottom Space Anchor and head in the east direction until you find a Navigation puzzle.Rotate the puzzle once when the largest and smallest circles are highlightedtogether. After that, rotate the smallest circle twice to solve the puzzle.
To solve this puzzle, start by rotating the middle circle until it reaches the correct position.Rotate the smallest and largest circle together once, and then bring the smallest one to the correct position.
This chest can be found on anextended area just above the southern Space Anchor.
There’ll be ahidden path to the right once you enter the main areaof the Divination Commission. This chest can be found here.
Enter the path to the left from the main area andyou’ll find a Warp Trotter to your left.
Can be found in the corner near the Warp Trotter.
Rotate the third set of boxes to the left twice to solve this Hexanexus puzzle.
After reset:rotate set six in any direction two times.
Head up north from the puzzle on chest seven and thenturn left to find the chestat the end.
When you enter the broad part of the bridge leading you to the middle area,you’ll see this chest to your right.
You’ll find a bird at the location that can be followed to get the chest.
You’ll see a broken bird on a shelf at this location. Start by rotating the lower circle to the left thrice. Now,rotate the higher circle to the left once and then the lower one to the rightuntil the puzzle is solved.
This chest can be found in the corner on theother side of where you found the broken bird.
This is a three-day puzzle where you’ll be solving aset of three Routine Divinationseach day.
To solve this puzzle: rotate the middle and large circles together until the former reaches the correct position. Thenrotate the large and small circles together until the former reaches its position. Finally, rotate the small circle.
Rotate thepuzzle once when small + medium and small + large are highlighted each. Finally, rotate the medium and large circles twice.
Once you enter the center area, use the first Teleport to your left andget to the end of that area to find this chest.
This puzzle has a few rotations:set six to the left twice - set one to the left once - set five to the left once.
After reset:rotate set one to the right once - rotate set three to the right once.
This Formidable Foe chest is guarded by a few small enemies.
Another Formidable Foe chest guarded by some Mara-struck enemies.
Third Formidable Foe chest in a row, and this timeyou’ll be fighting an Aurumaton.
This chestcan be seen in the openonce you get to the area.
This chest is also in the open, but you’llhave to solve a rotation puzzle on one of the teleportsto activate it.
This Hexanexus puzzle can be solved by rotating:set one to left once - set six to left once - set five in any direction twice.
After reset:rotate set one to the right once - set six to the left once - rotate set two twice in any direction.
Steps to solve this Hexanexus puzzle:set three to left once - set two to right once - set four in any direction twice.
After reset:rotate set two in any direction twice - set five in any direction twice.
Chest in the open on a broad surface in the middle of two bridges.
Artisanship Commission Chest Locations
Artisanship Commission is the final area that you’ll find in The Xianzhou Luofu, and here are all the chests on it:
Teleport to the west Space Anchor and you’ll find the first puzzle to the south. Here’s how you may solve it:
Enter through the main door of the Artisanship Commission andthis chest will be to the right.
Once you get down the stairs, choose the left path andthis chest will be to the left in the middle.
While this chest might seem close to the third one,you’ll have to go all the way around to get it.
This chest can be found infront of a closed shopat the location.
Rotate the Hexanexus in the following manner:set five to right once - set six to left once.
After reset:rotate the first set in any direction twice.
You’ll have to defeat a giant Wind Centaur to get this Formidable Foe chest.
You’ll have to solve a portal puzzle to get here, but here’s how you may solve the Hexanexus:rotate set five to right once - set one to right once.
After reset: rotate set six in any direction twice - set two to the left once - set four to the left once - set two to the left once.
To fix the bird:rotate the top left circle to left once - right circle to right twice - top left circle to right thrice. Follow the bird to get the chest.
This isMaster Gongshu’s Luminflux Pyxis puzzlesthat span three days. You have to solve three puzzles each day.
To the right of Master Gongshu,you’ll see some stairs leading you to this chest.
Rotation of this Hexanexus puzzle:set two in any direction twice.
After reset:rotate set four to the right twice - set two to the left.
You’ll find theWarp Trotter in a secluded areaat the location.
You’ll have to solve a door puzzle to get to this area and thendefeat an Aurumaton for the chest.
This Basic Treasure can be found on a platformbetween the stairs near the Space Anchor.
You’ll have to use the lift to get down belowunless you use the bridge from the western sideto get to this chest.
You’ll find the navigation puzzle at the end of this area, and it’s quite easy to solve.
Hexanexus puzzle rotation:set five and set six to right once each.
After reset:rotate set one in any direction twice - set five in any direction twice.
Simply follow the bird you find here to its location.
You’ll see this chesttucked in a corner on the rightwhile following the bird for chest 19.
You’ll have torotate one of the teleportsto get to this chest.
Location
Spawn on the bottom right Space Anchor in the area anduse the elevator to your right to go up. You’ll find the chest at the end of this higher platform.
You’ll find thischest on your leftafter you use the elevator to go back down.
Keep going on the path to the left of the bottom right Anchor and you’llfind the chest just before the entryto the middle area.
Enter the middle area and keep going straight until you find thischest in a secluded areajust before a path to your left.
Get past the middle area through the path where you see two guards standing, andyou’ll find this chest in frontonce you get past this small alley.
This one can be seen as a fight symbol on the map, and you’ll have tobattle a couple of mara-struck enemywaves to get it.
Keep going on the left path from the battle chest mentioned above and you’ll easily be able to find thistucked beside the Suppression Tower.
When the path gets divided ahead, follow the one on the left all theway to the top of Fyxestroll Garden. You’ll find this chest in front.
The Warp Trotter of Fyxestroll Garden can be foundsitting beside chest number eight.
This is the second battle chest of the area whereyou have to fight a mini-boss. It’s located just beside the stairs nearby.
Once you go down all the stairs in the area, you’ll find thischest tucked to the right at the bottom.
This chest can be foundbeside the main mirrorin the secluded room.
Enter the mirror and keep following the mirrors with Heliobi near itto get to this chest.
Repeat the same process as chest number three and you’ll have tocross an invisible bridge to get this one.
This chest can easily be found near themain area of Fyxestroll Garden, which is also the hub of A Foxian Tale of the Haunted.
Keep following the tiny path near the main hub and this chest can be found onyour right as soon as the path opens up.
The final chest can be found on your left as youfollow the path and head upa few stairs.
Alchemy Commission Chest Locations
Alchemy Commission is one of the areas released alongside the Version 1.2 update, and the map for it will be divided into two halves. With that information, here are all the chests for the bottom half:
Teleport to the bottom Space Anchor in the area and you canfind this chest in a secluded areaon your right. You’ll hear a distinct sparkling audio when you get close to it.
Teleport to the Cavern of Corrosion in this area and follow the path right in front of it. Climb afew stairs and you’ll find this chest on your right.
Teleport back to the Caver of Corrosion and use the stairs on your left to go down. You’llfind this chest past a restaurant areabeside some benches.
Use a few more stairs from chest number three to go further down andfind this chest in the openat the location marked on the map above.
The area with this chest will be hidden at first, but you can unlock it byusing the stairs to the left of chest number fourand taking the first left as soon as you can. You’ll have to defeat a Formidable Foe to acquire it.
This can be found by going to the puzzle icon on the map near chest number five, and you’ll have to solve a big puzzle for it.Rotate the green wheels in the following waysto solve it easily:
Keep following the path to the top and you’llfind this chest in a little seating areato your right on the way.
Head back to chest number four above and defeat all the enemies in the middle area. You’ll find thischest to the left of the door at the endof the middle part.
You’ll find a set of stairs to the left of chest number eight, and another set of stairs to the left of them. Take thesestairs down and you’ll have to fight two waves of enemiesto get this chest.
This Cycrane will be in the open, but you’ll have todefeat three waves of enemies and then follow itto get the rewards.
This chest will be highlighted while you’re following the Cycrane in chest number 10.Defeat a couple of enemy waves to claim it.
Follow the bigger set of stairs to the left of chest number eight and you’llfind this navigation puzzle to your right. Here’s how to solve it:
You’ll see two puzzle icons near the chest marker on the lower level of the area. Thefirst puzzle will be a door, and here’s how you can solve it:
Keep going to the bottom right of the Space Anchor in the safe area and you’llfind this one near two guards and a Mara-Struck enemy.
Finally, here are all the chests you may find in the upper half of Alchemy Commission:
Take the route in front of the seventh chest in the table above and keep going. You’ll find thischest behind the first Mara-Struck enemyyou see.
This is a navigation compass puzzle that you can solve in the following way:
Head back to the location where you found the seventh chest in the table above and head to the Space Anchor above. You’llfind this chest hidden on the right of the Anchor.
There’ll be a guard in front of a set of stairs in the area. To get to this chest, pass the guard andtake the first left in a small alley.
Go back out of the alley and you’llfind the Warp Trotter of this area to your left.
You’ll find the chestbehind a few tables and a chairright above the Space Anchor in the area.
This chest can be found to theleft of an entranceat the marker on the map above.
After defeating a few enemies here, you’ll find itsecluded to the right side of an entrance door.
This isn’t a Formidable Foe chest, but you’llstill have to defeat a few enemies to get it.
Scalegorge Waterscape Chest Locations
Scalegorge Waterscape might look complicated from the map itself, but it’sone of the easiest to get all the chests on when it comes to The Xianzhou Luofu:
Teleport to the right-most Space Anchor and head to the bottom of the beach tofind this chest half-buried in the sand.
This chest can be found on thefar-right side of the mapin the open.
The Warp Trotter for Scalegorge Waterscape is in theopen right beside chest number two.
You’ll see a semicircle on the map near the right-most Space Anchor, and you’re able to find thischest on the top part of the semicircle.
There’ll be a few torches when you reach this square apart of the map, and thechest will be right behind one of these torches.
Teleport to the middle Space Anchor and you’ll find thechest near some giant blue tree branchesat the end.
Keep going down on this path and you’ll see thischest to the left of one of the stairsat the location.
Once you reach the middle part, keepheading up until you find this chest on your right.
You’ll find this chestnear some Mara-Struck enemiesat the location.
This is the first Formidable Foe chest in the area, and you may see itsmarker on the game’s mapas well.
This Formidable Foe chest will beright below the first one, but you’ll have to go back to the middle to get it.
You’ll find this chest in the corner at the location marked above, but you’ll have todefeat a wave of Mara-Struch enemiesto get it.
This can be found near the location where yousolved the third puzzle during the main quest.
Get past the corals near chest number 13 and you’llfind the chest on the right.
Teleport back to the middle Space Anchor and take the top path this time. You’llfind the chest to your rightafter going down the first set of stairs.
This chest can be found as soon as youget past the corals on this part.
This is thefinal Formidable Foe Chest of this areathat can be seen on the map.
Teleport to the Divine Seed Echo of War and you canfind this chest beside some stairs nearby.
