The Kinetic Boomerang is one of those, and it offers you a unique way to fight your opponents.

The Kinetic Boomerang is based around Kinetic Ore technology, an in-game concept that was added as part of the new Fortnite chapter and its lore. The previous season’sKinetic Blade, which was also a unique weapon, functioned with the same concept and technology in mind. Here’s how you can obtain this weapon.
How To Get The Kinetic Boomerang
There are multiple ways to get the Kinetic Boomerang in Fortnite.
The first and most common one would be getting itfrom chests or ground lootacross the newChapter 4 Season 3 map.
Additionally,it may spawn more frequently as ground loot in the new jungleadded in Season 3.
If you want to secure a guaranteed chance at getting the Kinetic Boomerang before anyone else, then you’ll have to loot them fromBoomerang Stands.
These stands can be found around thenew Season 3 POIssuch asRumble RuinsandShady Stilts. Simply find a Boomerang Stand, walk up to it, thenpress and hold the “Search” button/key.
Doing this willwarp the boomerang to the ground, allowing you to pick it up.

How To Use The Kinetic Boomerang
As the name implies, the Kinetic Boomerang worksjust like a conventional boomerang would.
you’re able to throw it at anyone or anything to deal damage whilst expecting it toeventually return.
The only difference with this boomerang is that it hasKinetic Ore properties, giving it a special ability that a normal boomerang wouldn’t have.
To use it, put it into your hands,loosely target something and press the button/keybind that allows you to shoot.
You can alsotrigger a small explosion whilst it is in the air by pressing the ADS button/keybind.
By doing this, you’re effectively activating its recall mechanism, andthe explosion deals AOE damage to anyone that is closeto the Kinetic Boomerang.
The Kinetic Boomerang dealsa solid 60 damage upon a hit to the body, and 110 damage if it impacts your opponent’s head.
It also has lock-on capabilities at times, so you won’t have to be that precise with it when targeting players that are gliding.
The Kinetic Boomerang has no cooldown, so you can quite literally spam it and use it against unaware players in mid-close range scenarios.
You can also use the Kinetic Boomerang and its recall ability to damage structures. For example,aiming and letting it loose on destructible surfaces will inflict 100 damage. This isamplified if you use the recall explosionas it impacts whatever you’ve thrown it at.
The Kinetic Boomerang may not be the best weapon out in Fortnite right now. However, it stillpacks a punch if you know how to use it correctly.
