Even after you roll credits for the first time, your adventure doesn’t stop there. There are ten endings you can unlock, all requiring specific conditions and stipulations, ranging from straightforward to grueling and complex.

All Renee Endings
Reneeis themain characterof Afterimage and hasthree endingstotal, withone being crucial to gain accessto the game’sNew Game Plusmode, which we will cover a bit later in the guide.
However, before we dive into all of Renee’s endings, you will need tofind three Memory Shardsfor some of them, which you may learn more about with the table below!

Obtained automatically during the story when speaking to Aros in Misty Waters.
New Game Plus Endings
The Homecoming Ending
Her first ending involves you heading to theSunken Sanctum zoneandinteracting with the device at the bottomof the area, triggering a boss encounter againstGuider, the Shadow Moon.Defeating them will grant youThe Homecomingending!
The Cradle Ending
The second ending has youfollow the same steps,except when youreach the device at the bottomof theSunken Sanctumzone, you mustinsert one to two Memory Shardsbefore encounteringGuider, the Shadow Moon.
Defeating Guider will result in a different endingfor Renee, known asThe Cradle,but there is one more ending you can get for her, which is the most crucial one.
The Essential Ending
Renee’sfinal endingisThe Essentialand has youfollow the same stepsas the previous ones, except you mustinsert all three Memory Shards into the devicefound at thebottomof theSunken Sanctumbefore your fight withGuider, the Shadow Moon.
Afterbesting Guider,you will bemet with a fight against another bosswe will avoid naming due to spoilers. But be warned,this encounter is extraordinarily challengingand will give you a run for your money, so be prepared. If you emerge victorious here, you will get this ending!

Found northeast of the Frozen Veins' Confluence.
The Wall Ending
While not necessarily a Renee ending as much as agag or secret ending,we will placeThe Wallending here, as it fits better under this category than Ifree’s or the New Game Plus ones. However, please note thatthis is separate from Renee’s three"Main Endings"listed above.
To obtain The Wall ending, youmust first find eight Shenlong Glyphs,which we will outline for you in the table below!
Kan
Field of Hydro
Southeast of the Confluence Tree, at the bottom of the water.
Xun
Sky Palace
Northwest of the Confluence near the southeast side of the zone.
Goliathfall
South of the Confluence below the Occult Prime boss encounter.
After you have all eight Shenlong Glyphsin your possession, travel to theSilent Coastandtoggle the light offin the area. From here,hop in the boatandtake it out to seaandenter the area with the thick fog.
Next,wait in the fog for roughly five minutes,theninteract with the boatagain tosend it in the opposite direction.You will end up on ahidden islandwhere you will findSe.Speak to them, thenhead westfor the secretThe Wallending!

All Ifree Endings
IfreeisRenee’s companionin Afterimage, thelittle pink character that floats beside youthroughout your journey and has three endings themselves. In contrast to Renee’s endings,Ifree’s are much more complexand involved, so buckle in for these ones.
First things first, you will need todefeat Aquil(Field of Pyro zone)and Agus(Scorchwhere zone) toaccess Ifree’s endings.Once you defeat these two, move on to the next step involving Primeval Glyphs.
Next, you mustobtain eight different Pimeval Glyphsfor these endings. There are13 total,but you will only need to get your hands on eight of them, which you may learn how with the table below.
The Withering Ending
With the above requirements met you can nowhead to the bottom of the Field of Pyrozone tofind an egg,whichtriggers a prompton your screen.Selectthe “Let’s begin, Ifree” option, thendestroy the eggto getThe Witheringending.
The Hope Ending
The Hopeending isaccessed the same way,but instead of choosing the “Let’s begin, Ifree” option, you willselect the"SoulInvade"optionthis time around. After this,repeatedly hit the egguntil aboss fight triggers.Defeating the boss will give you this ending.
The Journey Ending
Lastly,The Journeyending has youfollow the same steps as The Hopeending, except youmust stop hitting the egg when demanded,which will happen roughlyaround two to three hits.
After this happens, you caneither run back to a Confluence, use a Resting Potion, or close and relaunch the application.From there,head back to the eggto trigger a cutscene of this ending.
All New Game Plus Endings
New Game Plus,not to be confused with New Game, is ahidden modein Afterimage thatrequiresyou to have gottenThe Essential+The WitheringORThe Journeyendings.
Meeting these requirements will give you aten-chapter side-story,where you canobtain three more endings,one being the “True Ending” of the game.

The Waiting Ending
The first ending ofNew Game Plusrequires you toSoul Invade Karinas N°42anddefeat the bossthat follows that. This is a tough encounter, but defeating them will grant youThe Waitingending.
The Dream Ending
Another endingyou can obtain withN°42requires you togo through the mirror beside Karinandtalk to the Anemo Goliathin the following area. After the dialogue finishes, you will be given theoptiontogo through the ritual despite not knowing how to perform it.
Agree to do the ritualto getThe Dreamending, thus concluding all the ones you can get withN°42in New Game Plus.For the"True Ending," be sure toswitch back to Reneevia themain menubefore jumping to the next section!
The World Flower Ending
Lastly, we have Afterimage’s “True Ending,“The World of Flower ending,themost involved and convolutedof the bunch. To begin this process, you mustfirst defeat Karin as Renee,who you can find inNigredo Tower AFTER finishing all ten chaptersofNew Game Plus.
Defeating Karin will grant you the Mask of the Occult Prime. From here, head to the Holy Grounds' Archives and speak with Owl to begin the Sea of Souls Quest.
After this, go to the Field of Hydro and talk to Samsare, who will inform you that you need to find five Mask Fragments to repair the Mask. The Mask Fragments can be found in the table below!
East of the first Confluence in Rainbow Plains.
Mask Fragment 2
Dropped by Auss, the Lunatic Mastermage in the Town of the Exiled.
Dropped by Souless Ode in the Teardrop Base.
Mask Fragment 4
Remove Petrification from the Statue in Holy Grounds via Eye of Gondor.
Mask Fragment 5
Dropped by Karin in the Nigredo Tower.
With allfive Mask Fragmentsin your possession,return to the Field of Hydroandspeak with Samsareagain to obtain theNuo Mask Afterimage,which will begin theSword and Light Quest.This Quest has youseek out the Sword of the Lakeand theHalo of Genesis.
Toget the Sword of the Lake,you must firstacquire four Stream Crystals,which we will provide in the table below!
North of the Darkfeather boss in Albedo Tower.
Stream Crystal 3
West of Se in the Halcyon Veins zone, past the red barrier.
Stream Crystal 4
Found in the Raging Veins zone accessed via Field of Pyro.
Now that youhave all four Stream Crystals,head to theHeart of Veins Confluenceandinteract with the Swordlodged into the stoneto the west.The Swordwill attempt to Soul Invade you,prompting aboss encounter.Defeat the boss to acquire theSword of the Lake.
Next up is theHalo of Genesis,which you will obtain from theTurtlefound in theForest Foregone zone.If youmeet the proper requirements,the Turtle willrecognize your strengthand accomplishments andallow you to climb on its shellto grab the item.
However, theunfortunate newsis theexact requirements you need to obtain the Halo of Genesis are unknown,but it can beone of the following:
We were above Level 75 with all thirteen Primeval Glyphswhen we got the Halo of Genesis, so we areunsure which one triggered it.Nonetheless,after you have all three Items(Nuo Mask, Sword of the Lake, and Halo of Genesis), head to theNigredo Towerfor the final time.
Once here, you will have tofight a series of bosses,which areall extremely challenging,so don’t let your guard down for one second and come prepared with plenty of HP and MP Consumables.Upon defeating all the bosses,you will getThe World Flowerending!
