In this guide, we are going to take a look at how you can get your own Island Lobster Shirt. As expected, you will need to venture to Lurelin Village, which can be found on the southern coast of Hyrule. First, let’s take a closer look at how to get here.
Getting To Lurelin Village
Lurelin Village is in thesouthern portion of East Necluda.On the map, you will see ahook-shaped piece of landsticking out into the water, named Cape Cresia. The village lies to the left of this,near Korne Beach.
The route to get here is a bit out of the way. To reach Lurelin Village,you can scale mountains anduse Zonai devices, but you can also stick to the path on your horse.If you are aiming to get to Lurelin Village as quickly as possible, we recommendstraying from the path, as it can be quite a long journey.
The closest stable is theLakeside Stable, found in a collection of forests and lakessouth of the Dueling Peaks.From this stable, head east, following the path through Atun Valley, passing Sifumim Shrine.
Monster Forces In Lurelin Village
If it’s your first time in Lurelin Village,the area will be filled with monsters.Removing the monsters and completing the associated quest can be quite a long process, but thankfully,you are not required to beat the Monster Forces before grabbing the chest with the Island Lobster Shirt.
Clearing the Monster Forces is part of theRuffian-Infested Village quest.
As expected, the area is dangerous. If you are trying to get the chest before the monsters are cleared out,we recommend being as stealthy as possible.
Obtaining The Island Lobster Shirt
With the monsters still in the village,look out for the giant pirate ship in the bay.Head to the shore on the left side of this boat, which is on the side where you can find Korne Beach.
From the shore, you should see a plank that can be used. If you have enough Zonai parts on hand, you can fashion a boat. If, on the other hand, you don’t have a lot of Zonai parts,you can just attach a fan to the plank and place it in the water.
You can also use your Ultrahand to place the wooden platform as far as possible in the water, and then swim to it. From here, you should be able to reach the chest.
Spotting the chest with the Island Lobster Shirt can be a bit difficult. With your Ultrahand ability,all moveable objects will highlight, regardless of their distance.To scan the waters, trigger your Ultrahand and look in the water until you find a chest-shaped object.
On your little raft,head to the left side of the pirate ship.Once you are close enough, you will be able to pick it up with your Ultrahand and place it on the raft. Open it, and you will receive the Island Lobster Shirt!
Obtaining The Shirt After Clearing The Monsters
The chest with the Island Lobster Shirt will stick around,even after defeating the Monster Forces.When peace has been restored in Lurelin Village, a little boy named Zuta will be on the shore, looking out to the water. Upon talking to this boy,he will mention his father’s blue shirt that hasn’t been found.
It’s important to note that this willonly be available as a side quest if you’ve completed up toLurelin Village Restoration Project.
This will begin the side quest calledDad’s Blue Shirt.From here, you just need to hop into the water on a raft and find the chest. There will be several other chests in the water that you can scoop up as well, but only one will hold the Island Lobster Shirt.
Once you have the shirt in your inventory,head to Zuta and speak with him and his dad.Thankfully, you won’t have to fork over the Island Lobster Shirt to Zuta’s dad, ashe allows you to keep it.
Can You Upgrade The Island Lobster Shirt?
Since the Island Lobster shirt is unique,you will not be able to upgrade it.With onlyone defense point, it’s not the best shirt to wear into battle, but it does provide someHeat Resistance.
The Island Lobster Shirtcannot be dyed.
Overall, the shirt serves as a fashionable top, calling back to its previous version inBreath of the Wild. For fans of Wind Waker, this shirt is also areference to Link’s shirt at the beginning of the game.
