Gameloft makes sure to interact with fans by giving away codes and secrets within promo on social media. One of theseDisney Dreamlight Valleypromos revealed a secret code that gave players the Mysterious Golden Potato. This potato is the first piece in a long line of sidequests that can get you the desired Rainbow Fox.

There are multiple tasks to complete and hidden items to find in order to acquire this special companion. The completion of all these tasks will lead you to the Rainbow Potion, which is the item that actually unlocks the fox.
Find The Potatoes
This all starts by completing the Mysterious Golden Potato quest. Initially, this potato was acquired through a secret code given out by developers. That code is now expired, and you will be able to find the sacred potatobyheading to Scrooge’s storeand taking a good look at his safe.
Some potatoeswill not spawnuntil after you have completed the Mysterious Golden Potato.
After completing the Golden Potato quest, you will be able tofind other hidden potatoes around the valley.They will all be different colors, orange, green, blue… Each potato will have itsown line of tasks to complete.
Some of these potatoes are hidden, but others can only be acquired after finding other related items like a pebble for instance.At the completion of each potato quest, you will get a corresponding potion.

Collect Every Potion
Items you have acquired at the end of your potato journey can be taken to any Crafting Station and turned into a potion.There are six potatoesand therefore six potions you need in order to craft the Rainbow Potion.
The six potions can becombined at a Crafting Station to create the Rainbow Potion.

Now, what do you do with the Rainbow Potion? How do you use it? You need to take the potion with you when completingThe Dark Castle quest.
The Dark Castle quest is the completion ofthe story of The Forgotten.
The Dark Castle quest isonly available by Merlin after completing his quest The Forgotten Relics.
The Forgotten Relicsquest is then only availableafter you wait a day from completing What’s Left Behindwith The Fairy Godmother.
In The Dark Castle quest with Merlin, you will enter the Forgotten version of the Dream Castle.In the first room, there is a statue of a fox within the Dark Castle that you must place the Rainbow Potion into.
If you have already completed The Dark Castle before starting your Rainbow Potion journey, you’re able to still visit The Dark Castle whenever you please.
You may still enter the same portal even if the quest had been completed.
The fox will spring to life and turn into the Rainbow Fox.It will then be added to your Companions tab in Wardrobe.
The Rainbow Fox ispurely cosmetic. This companion offers no benefit to gameplay other than being very cute.
