After youbuy the Processing Roomfor150,000gup front,Takakura begins construction, and acouple of days later, you’ve got a new buildingbetween your storage shed and Takakura’s house.
This is ahuge investmentthat may take some time to afford, so don’t worry if you don’t get itin your first yearor two.
Once the Processing Room is built, Takakura gives you a tour to show you thetwo machinesinside - around yellow machinethat makes yourCheese, and agray machinein the opposite corner that makesButter.
To make Butter or Cheesein the Processing Room, simplyapproach one of the machines with a bottle of Milk equipped, andinteract with the machine.
You’ll then be askedhow many products you want to make. Although the game does registereach grade and type of Milkas a unique item, you’re able to craft Cheese and Butter in bulk, up tohow many you have of that specific Milk.
you may approach the machine again after switching to a different Milk in your inventory to make Butter or Cheese out ofother kinds of Milkafter you’ve made your first.
Marble And Brown Cows Are Meant For One Machine Or The Other
Fordouble the price of a Normal Cow, you can also buy bothMarble and Brown Cowsfrom theLedgeras well.
These two different breeds of cows arevisually different, and they’ll alsoproduce unique Milks,calledMarble MilkandBrown Milk, respectively.
You’re told in the animal’s buying page in the Ledger, butMarble Milk makes better Cheese, whileBrown Milk makes better Butter. When using one of these Milks in the designated machine, youincrease your final product by one grade from the raw Milk.
For instance, if you putBrown Milk (B)into theButter Machine, the Brown Cow being better for Butter means you’ll getButter (A)as a result.
Meanwhile, usingMarble Milk (B)in theButter Machineonly gives youButter (B)- still a good value, but without the innate boost to the quality of the final product that you get just for using the “correct” machine.
Don’t Use Star Milk In The Machines
While Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life Butter and Cheese arenormallya great way to increase the sale price of a raw animal product,this sale price bonus does not apply to Star Milk.
Even at its lowest grade,Star Milk (B)sells for375gper bottle. When using Star Milk to make Cheese or Butter,it will not improve the grade or make a special product- you’ll simply end up with Butter (B) or Cheese (B).
