It’s time for the third, and final, team-basedPokemon Goevent, this time centered around Team Valor. Titled A Valorous Hero, this event will follow a style similar to the previous team events, except with its own set of twists and features.

You can participate in this brand-new event for about a week, available to all players from Thursday, May 11, at 10 am local time to Wednesday, May 17, at 8 pm local time. With this event containing several unique features and Pokemon, this is one you’ll definitely want to take advantage of.
Pokemon Debut: Mega Pinsir
With this event comes the debut of abrand-new Mega Evolution in Pokemon Go: Mega Pinsir.Throughout the course of this event, you can expect to find Mega Pinsir in Mega Raids across the globe.
Make sure togroup up with other Trainers to defeat this Mega Evolution in its Raid, to secure somePinsir Mega Energy. This rare resource is usedtoMega EvolvePinsir into Mega Pinsir, so make sure to take advantage of this and collect as much of it as you’re able to!
Event Bonuses
There will bea handful of bonuses active throughout the event,each impacting different aspects of Pokemon Go. Each of these bonuses will prove to be extremely valuable, so make sure to participate in this event if they interest you.
Event Research
Special Research Story
Like with past team-themed events,there will be a Special Research Story availableat the start of A Valorous Hero. Completing all the tasks within this Special Research Story will reward you withan encounter of aPonyta wearing a Candela-themed accessory.
This will betheonly method and chance to obtain this rare costumed Pokemon, so make sure to complete this Special Research Story if possible.
Field Research Tasks
There will beEvent Field Research Tasksavailable throughout this event, obtained from different PokeStops. Completing these Field Research Tasks will reward you with a variety of in-game rewards, each listed for you below.
Timed Research
While this event is active, you will have the opportunityto complete event Timed Researches.If you are able to complete all tasks that are included in this Timed Research before A Valorous Hero has ended,you will be rewarded with aFast TM and Charged TM.
Event Raids
The Pokemon found in different Raids during this eventwilldiffer from those that are typically available.This includes the Pokemon in each tier of Raid, increasing in difficulty with each tier.
