As you make your way through the Gerudo region, you’ll even stumble across a self-confident man who likes to challenge passersby to withstand the varying temperatures of the desert mountains. After all, he isthe man who withstands, or so he proclaims. If you’re lucky enough to meet Rahdo on your adventures, he has some challenges for you as well.
Where To Start The Heat-Endurance Contest
Rahdo camps out atthe top of Mount Granajhnear the South Lomei Labyrinth. When you first meet him, Rahdo will first challenge you toaCold-Endurance Contest, so you’ll need to complete that first.
Rahdo can be found at the following coordinates:-1379, -3363, 0469.
If you talk with Rahdo again, he will want to try another contest. This time, he will challenge you to see who canlast the longest under the blistering heat of the desert sun.
The contest will once again take placeon the pillars near Rahdo’s tent, and you will need to stand there from morning until the sun “sinks below the western horizon.” Youcan’t set foot on the groundoff the pillar, and youcan’t run low on health.
You’ll once againstrip out of all your armor and clothes, so you’ll have to find an alternate method to not die of heat exhaustion.
Once you have made your preparations, you canwager 150 rupees to beginyour face-off against the (self-proclaimed) man who withstands.
How To Pass The Heat-Endurance Contest
The Heat-Endurance Contest will takejust under ten minutes of real-world timeto pass the appropriate time needed in-game to win.
Thankfully, there is avery easy wayto beat this contest. Thestone slabs and Zonai Stakesscattered around the pillars will make anexcellent source of shade. Attach the stone slabs to the Zonai Stakes, andmove them in front of the pillaryou’re standing onto block the sun.
Here are a couple ofother ways to winthe Heat-Endurance Contest, just in case you are secretly a vampire and hate stakes:
Enjoy the passing of time untilRahdo eventually faints from heat exhaustionin the afternoon.
Since you both wagered 150 rupees,Rahdo will reward you with a Gold Rupee, which is worth 300 rupees in total. After humiliating him by beating him in two contests, Rahdo will pack up his bags and head off for a new adventure.
