How To Level Quickly

Nearly everything you do in Star Rail will give you Trailblaze EXP, but there are a few ways you canincrease your Trailblaze Level quickly.

With so much to do, the most beneficial and efficient way to level faster is tocomplete the Trailblaze Missionsin your Mission Log.

Furthermore, completing Companion and Adventure Missions will give you plenty of EXP.

In the early game, you shouldfarm consecutive Calyx (Golden)to get a heft lump sum of Trailblaze EXP and character EXP books to increase their levels. This is great for getting from level 10 to 20 and onwards.

You should be completing thedaily Interastral Guide missionsfor over 1000 Trailblazer EXP each day.

But what happens when you’ve finished all the current Trailblazer Missions? Now you should be using yourTrailblaze Power to claim rewardsfrom Calyxs and other Domains.

Complete Daily Interastral Guide

When you reach Belobog, you will get access to theDaily Training tab in the Interastral Guide. This is unlocked after you complete the Trailblaze Mission,Long Wait for the Blade’s Edge.

With this unlocked, you will see a tab in the Interastral Guide called Daily Training. There are500 points to earn a day, and you will have randomised ‘challenges’ to complete that will be worth 100 or 200 points.

The Daily Training objectives are effectively the Star Rail equivalents toGenshin’s Daily Commissions.

Complete the tasks and claim the rewards to get1300 Trailblaze XP, 60 Stellar Jade, and other useful rewards each day.

Finish Trailblaze Missions

The Trailblaze Missions, otherwise known as the main story quest of Honkai: Star Rail, gives youthe most Trailblaze EXP in one goby far, but they are usually gated behind being a specific level.

Due to this, you shouldexhaust every avenueyou can to get your Trailblaze Level caught up.

Each arc of the Trailblaze Missions has arequired level,so you might have to spend a little time farming Trailblaze EXP between the story beats.

Farm The Calyx (Golden)

One of the best ways to farm Trailblazer EXP is frequently complete theGolden Calyx, specifically the Bud of Memories and Bud of Aether domains.

We recommend these two since it gives youcharacter-level EXP books, while the Bud of Aether providesLight Cone EXP booksif you need those more than character levels.

You get 50 Trailblaze EXP for each run, meaning you canget 300 EXPif you do the full six battles.

Whack auto battle on, fight six consecutive battles, and watch that Trailblazer EXP accumulate.

You will needten Trailblaze Powereach time you do this Calyx, and spending 60 at a time will be the most efficient way to farm.

Cavern of Corrosion

The Cavern of Corrosions are where youfarm Relic setsfor your characters. We would only recommend spending your Trailblaze Power on these domainsif you have reached Trailblaze Level 40.

This is because you won’t be able to getfive-star relics until you hit thisthreshold. You should be using your Trailblaze Power on other domains, such as the Calyx or Stagnant Shadow.

When you reach level 40, feel free to spend your Trailblaze Power here.Spend 40 to get 200 Trailblaze EXPand a smattering of Relics.

Stagnant Shadow

The Stagnant Shadow domains are where you can Character Ascension materials, such as Storm Eye and Void Cast Iron.

Each time you complete this domain, you spend 30 Trailblaze Power to get the materials and 150 Trailblaze EXP.

In terms of difficulty, these domains are tougher than the Calyx buds, but by completing them, you will be able to make yourcharacters stronger in the long run.

Simulated Universe

The first time you clear Simulated Universe you’ll get a bunch of great rewards, including Trailblazer EXP and Stellar Jade. When you clear one, you can replay it as much as you like.

You will notice that you can get Relics from them as well, and collecting from the nodes will reward you with Trailblazer EXP.

The Simulated Universe can be tough depending on the characters you have available,so this is a good optionif you have no other ways to get Trailblazer EXP or if you need tofarm five-star Relics.

Companion And Adventure Missions

As you play through, you will naturally unlock more missions to tackle. These quests will be unlocked alongside new areas you explore and tied to specific characters you meet.

WithHerta Space Station, Belobog, and the Loufu, you have three huge areas full of side quests to sink your teeth into.

If you find you don’t have a high enough Trailblaze Level to get to the next main story quest, you shouldclear your Mission Logfirst and foremost.

Each of these missions hasseveral tiers to them and some are unlocked in parts, all of which offer a base of250 Trailblaze EXP.

Other than all of the above, opening treasure chests in each area will give you a small amount of Trailblaze EXP.

Why You Should Increase Your Equilibrium Level

Starting at Trailblaze Level 20, you will be introduced to theTrail of the Equilibrium missions.

Completing these missions willincrease your Equilibrium Level, which unlocks more challenging content and better rewards from Domains.

Raising your Equilibrium will make Domain enemies tougher, unlocking new challenge options to getbetter rewardsfrom them.

An example is at Trailblaze Level 40 onwards you canstart to farm five-star rarity Relics.

You might be tempted to sit on your Equilibrium-raising missions, but you shouldconsider doing them as soon as possible.

A lot of theDomains are gatedby your Trailblaze and Equilibrium Level, meaning you should always increase them.

However, don’t worry if you don’t increase your Equilibrium Level.

Yourlevel will be capped, and you won’t progress past a certain point, but youwill still gain Trailblaze EXP.

When you increase your Equilibrium Level, you will seeyour actual Trailblaze Level.

Even if it makes some Calyx and the Cavern of Corrosion tougher, you still havethe choice to tackle the lower-level versionsof them.
