Brothers In Arms: Novigrad isThe Witcher 3’ssummary of all your actions in the besieged city. There, Geralt had crossed paths with both old allies and acquaintances on his search for Ciri. With a battle against the Wild Hunt at Kaer Morhen all but assured, it’s time to call on them for help.

Don’t count your chickens before they have hatched. Some of these potential allies will only lend their aid if you had helped them in the past. This guide will go through the four possible allies and the assistance that they will bring at the moment of truth.
Calling On Triss
As one of Geralt’s closest allies and as one of Ciri’s staunchest supporters, Trisswill help Geraltwhen asked during this quest.
That said, she has her own problems to deal with. You must completeNow or Never,a quest that brings her storyline in Novigrad to a close.
You can choose not to help Triss, if you are so inclined. This questwill fail,however.
Visiting Zoltan
Being something akin to Ciri’s reliable uncle, Zoltanwill always help Geralt.Unlike Triss,you do not need to complete any of his quests.
Recruiting Zoltan willprevent you from completingA Dangerous Game,if you have yet to do so. This will prevent you fromcollecting three Gwent cardsthat cannot be earned anywhere else.
How To Recruit Roche
As the closest thing Geralt has to a Navy SEAL, Roche’s help will be invaluable at Kaer Morhen. Unfortunately, he is a busy man.
To get his assistance,complete the questAn Eye for an EyewithVes surviving the quest.
How To Recruit Dijkstra
As a spymaster by trade, Dijkstra will not be much use on the front lines. That does not mean that he isn’t useful, though his helpis the hardest to earn.
You will have totell him who stole the treasurein the questCount Reuven’s Treasure.This requires you toask Menge about itduring the tense conversation.
If you were successful, Dijkstra will not provide any help in person but willgive Geralt 1,000 crowns,two Greater runestones,and a crafting diagram.
