Naturally, those closest to her have some mixed feelings about the upcoming ritual, but Aphrodite has asked Grace to sing her to sleep during the party. This guide covers Aphrodite’s Party and the three outcomes of her ritual in Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical.
Go Talk To Apollo And Persephone First
Act One ended with a pretty big blowout fight at Underworld, forcing you tochoose between Apollo and Persephoneas your main source of help for Act Two.
After you’ve spoken to Freddie at your house for info on the Pantheon and collected Pan’s note about Olympus, you’ll also have the option to"Talk to Apollo" or “Talk to Persephone"on the overworld map as well.
There’s no apparent “right” order to do things, so start with whichever task you’d prefer. Check out our guide on Pan’s favor if you started with seeing him at Olympus.
If You Sided With Persephone
GoTalk to Apolloas soon as you’re done with Freddie, and you’ll find him pretty rattled but still generally kind in his demeanor.Charismatic Gracecan still salvage something of a relationship with Apollo by saying"Calliope needs you"when presented with the option. Both Kickass and Clever Grace, however, will be politely asked to leave.
No matter -Talk to Persephone, who’s ready to share her plan, accusing Pan hesitantly when you arrive. you’re able to tease her a bit or chat about Pan or ask why she’s changed her mind, but"Pan asked to see me"carries the conversation forward.
Persephone does encourage you to see Pan, but she alsotells you about a party at Aphrodite’s house. You can ask some questions, but in general, you’ll be dispatched for the party, without PersephonebutwithApollo.
If You Sided With Apollo
Talk to Persephonebefore you head to Apollo’s house, and you’ll find her not entirely excited to see you.Clever Gracecan retain some semblance of a relationship with Persephone by telling her"You need me,“after she’s cold to your first inquisition when you arrive. Both Charismatic and Kickass Grace will have less luck.
Regardless, now’s the time toTalk to Apollo, who suggests Pan may be a suspect. You can banter with him and Oracle, but"Pan asked to see me"moves things forward.
After some chat,Apollo invites you to Aphrodite’s partyto ask about Pan before getting too close to Pan. You can ask questions if you’d like, but eventually, Apollo tells youhe’ll be at the party with you.
Socializing At Aphrodite’s Party
When you’re ready, head toAphrodite’s Partyon your overworld map to find a rather somber occasion unfolding:Aphrodite has decided she’s ready to pass on her Eidolon, with all that that means for her.
When you arrive, Apollo tells you a bit aboutthe impending return of Calliope’s memoriesto explain why Aphrodite has made the decision she has - Aphrodite’s memories from the war are, she feels, too much to bare.
Until Aphrodite arrives, though, Apollo suggests you mingle - specifically, he thinks you shouldTalk to Eros.
Speak to Eros About The Ritual
If you had Grace introduce herself at Underworld, Eros will greet you with a tight hug here. If not, he introduces himself now, and thanks you for coming.
Either way, this is your chance totalk to Eros about Aphrodite’s decision. He tells you a bit more about Aphrodite’s past, specifically the painful parts from which she’s trying to escape with this ritual.
She’s his mother, after all, and you learn thatEros doesn’t want Aphrodite to perform her ritual.
Ask Eros a few questionsabout the ritual to hear his thoughts and stories about Aphrodite and the war, and select either"You don’t seem to approve,” or “She needs my help,“when they become available to move on.
Before you head back to the party,Eros asks if you’ll try to get Aphrodite to change her mind. He can’t force you to do so, nor Aphrodite to listen, but he makes his case before you leave.
After speaking to Eros, you’ll have the option toWait for Aphrodite.

Aphrodite And Venus
When the Goddess of Love arrives for her party, she’s not alone - she’s broughtVenus, herchosen successor, to receive the Eidolon when the ritual is complete.
Aphrodite introduces the two of you, and Venus speaks a bit abouthow she knows Aphrodite. Before Aphrodite leaves, though, Grace canask for Aphrodite’s helpfor some flavor text about Eros, or move on in the conversation about Aphrodite’s party and her decision.
Once Aphrodite has left, you’re able to either check back in with Apollo (who may weigh in on what you’ve learned, depending on your relationship), orTalk to Venusbefore beginning the ritual if you’d like.
Talk To Venus For Background Info On Aphrodite And Godhood
Venus has questions about godhood and the transferring of an Eidolon for Grace. Turns out,Venus just wants to help people, including Aphrodite - even if that means taking over her role as goddess.
During this conversation, you can ask Venus abouthow she knows Aphrodite, a bitabout herself, or speak to herabout becoming a god. All of it is a great way tolearn more about Aphroditebefore you begin the ritual, as well as to learn about the person she’ll become if she does go through with it.
“The Ritual” And What’s Next For The Goddess Of Love
When you’re feeling ready, choose toBegin the Ritual. Regardless of what you’ve decided to do about Aphrodite, she’ll make a speech before beginning.
No matter which option you’ve chosen for Aphrodite, though, this song deals with some pretty sensitive subjects related to mental health and trauma.
Song: “The Ritual”
The song begins with Aphrodite recountinglife as an Old God, the beginnings of thewar, and hermistreatment during her capture. She’ll also recount howher husband Hephaestus struck a deal to save her.
This is aheavydecision made in an emotional scene, regardless what you’ve opted to do, but through this song, you’re able to:
Regardless of how you’ve chosen to proceed here, you’ll be speaking withEros and Venusafter the song (as well asAphrodite, if she didn’t perform the ritual).
Get Information About Medusa
After some chatter about the party with Eros and Venus (and Aphrodite, possibly), one of them willask if you have any suspectsin your investigation - and youdidcome here to get info on Pan.
AClever Gracecan assemble some pieces of the puzzle here herself, while others cansuggest Panordecline to name a suspect.
Either way, the conversation leads toMedusa, and the other Idols seem concerned. They tell you thatMedusa is Athena’s watchdog, and suggest that yougo talk to Medusato see what she knows.
Apollo will check in(for a conversation that changes a bit depending on your relationship), and the scene will end with you back on the overworld menu, with what you see depending on which scene you began with - the party or check in with Pan.
