When you enter the world ofHonkai: Star Rail, you’ll be overwhelmed by the many different things you’re able to do. As you progress in the main story and level up, multiple Companion and Adventure missions will unlock on various planets. Some Adventure Missions can also last for up to three real-life days.

These missions are called time-gated since you can only progress to a certain point on a particular day. Night On The Mine is one such mission, and you’ll have to solve three Mine Cart puzzles each day during this quest.
How To Unlock Night On The Great Mine
There are several steps before you’re able to even get to this quest. Firstly,you’ll have to finish the main story in Herta Space Stationso that you can make your way to Jarilo-VI. In this area, you’ll first have to go through the main story until you’re taken to the underground city by one of the main characters.
Here, you’ll eventually unlock the Great Mine area.Keep progressing the story until you see a certain exclamation point in Boulder Town. Once you see this symbol, you may start the quest by talking to Antonia and she’ll tell you that there’s an old mining person who’s trying to teach his apprentice before retiring.
Go to this old miner in the Great Town area andtalk to them for a bit to unlock the main puzzles.
How To Solve Mine Cart Puzzles
Each mine cart puzzle consists of some special mechanics that can be used to move the carts to their respective places:
Once all the carts are in their positions, you can talk to the old miner to claim your prize.Talk to him again after claiming the chest to start the next puzzle.
Day One Mine Cart Puzzles Guide
The first few puzzles will be quite easy since the game lets you get used to the mechanics. For the very first puzzle,you simply have to interact with both the turnout devicesonceand then push the cart to the blue end. This will take the cart to its required position and solve the puzzle. You can get a normal treasure chest for it.
For the second puzzle, youfirst have to push the cart with ores into the track without interacting with any turnout devices. Once it stops in the middle of the track near the empty cart,interact with the turnout device labeled as one (left) once. Push the ore cart back and it will reach its location.
Next, interact with both the turnout devices once andpush the empty cart so that it can reach the blue end.
To solve the final puzzle for the first day,push the empty mine cart into the track first without interacting with turnout devices. This will take the cart to the other end of the track. Now, interact with the second turnout device (right) once. Push the mine cart again and fill it with the ore on the ground.
Take the cart back andinteract with the second turnout device again. Push the cart back to its original location and then interact with the first device (left) once. Finally, you’ll be able to push the cart into the yellow track end.
