This shrine is one of the more challenging ones since it is another trial where you lose all of your equipment and materials. That means noMaster Sword, no armour, and no never-ending supply ofBomb Flowers. You have to get creative, but this guide will explain the best route and how to take out the enemies quickly and easily.

Kimayat Shrine Location

Depending on what shrines you have available for fast travel, you caneasily make your way to this shrineby going from theAkkala region, instead of traipsing all across Death Mountain.

Kimayat Shrine’sexact coordinates are2863, 3637, 0241

The easiest way to get there is to travel toJochi-iu Shrine by the East Akkala Stable. It’s basically a straight shot northwest from there.

There are closer shrines in the Skull Lake area, but they require you to climb up and it takes far too much time and stamina.

To reach Kimayat Shrine, aim for the Skull Lake on the map in west Akkala, and then continue past it to enter the base of Death Mountain.

You shouldsee Kimayat Shrine as you approach.

How To Beat Kimayat Shrine’s Proving Ground: Smash Trial

This shrine, sadly, is a challenge-type onewhere Link loses all his equipment. The title isProving Grounds: Smash, and if that’s supposed to be a hint it’s not exactly the best.

This shrine isnasty and you should take your timewhere you may.

As you enter, remember to grab theWooden Stick,Wooden Bow, and ten arrowson the left.

Your first objective should be todeal with the soldiers on the ground.

As you enter the main room, head to the right and go behind the wall tograb an ice emitter Zonai device. Feel free to activate this on the ground orFuse it to your stick.

You might get the attention of ashield-using Zonai Captainwhile you do this. Kill this one using theFrost Emitterbefore any others join in the fightif you can.

Regardless of if you kill the first enemy there or leave it alive, you should move forward and use Ascend to reach the platform abovesuspended by four pillars on the right.

Fuse one of the barrels to the Zonai Swordand jump down, keeping to the right.

When you land, turn left and you will seesome ice fruit. Grab this in a second, but don’t use it on the enemies.

If you haven’t already, take out thefirst enemy with the shield. There will be another one with aclub coming your way soon.

Grab theIce Fruitand throw it into thecentral water to create platforms.

Jump between them and place one underneath the ledge above. When under, use Ascend to reach the sniping archers.

Using yourZonai Swordthat you attached a barrel to,hit these archers into the waterbelow to kill them instantly. Two hits with the heavy weapon will send them flying.

Drowning them this way willmassively preserve your weapon’s durability.

There should now only betwo enemies left, and they can’t reach you.

Feel free to use up your arrows or jump down there tokill them in close quarters.

With those last two dead, you’ll reclaim all of your sweet gear and materialsand be back to full power.

If you choose to go left when you enter the room, the layout is exactly the same.

The only difference is that there aretwo spike ballson an elevated platforminstead of barrels.

The method remains the sameregardless of the path you take.

Make your way up the stairs andmake sure you grab the cheston your way.

It contains aCaptain III Reaper, with a respectable and considerable 45 damage points.

With that done, touch the rune and complete Kimayat Shrine. Congratulations, now on to the next one.
