Crystal shrines are a little bit more hidden than the average shrine in theLegend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The Northwest Hebra Mountains Crystal activates the Ratafu-um Shrine, rewarding you with a Rauru’s Blessing. The crystal is at the bottom of an extremely icy cold pond in the Hebra Mountains Northwest Cave.

Inside the cave is a pond filled with water that will slowly damage you the longer you stay in it. No amount of warm clothing will save you from this water, so don’t try and go spelunking. The crystal can be fished out using icicles from the top of the cavern, but you should clear the room of enemies first.

Where To Find Rutafu-Um Shrine And Hebra Mountains Northwest Cave

You canapproach from the skyif you’ve cleared the Wind Temple. Teleport toMayaumekis Shrine and glide downto the Hebra peaks below.

You will see a locationcalled Selmie’s Spot– which is also where you trigger the questThe Duchess Who Disappeared– head north and slightly west from Selmie’s Spot to find the entrance to Hebra Mountains Northwest Cave.

When you drop into the cave, turn around andface your camera forward.

You should see a gap close below you - jump in hereto find the Bubbul Frogfor this cave.

Drop into the cave proper and you’ll see a pond in the middle of the room. The crystal is at the bottom of this pond.

Take out the Bokoblinson the other side of the pond by the fire and continue up the path.

You will see the shrine entrance here, just past the Bokoblins. Interact with it and you will begin the quest to bring the crystal over.

How To Transport The Crystal

Walk down the path and back to the pond. If you look up, you willnoticeseveral icicles sticking downfrom the roof of the cave.

Using a bow and arrow or a thrown weapon,hit one of the iciclesto knock it down.

Keep the fallen icicle away from any sources of fire, otherwise, they will shrink and melt away.

Be aware that the water will damage you if you stay in there too long. Because of this, you should stay out of the water at all costs.

Using your Ultrahand, grab the icicle and stand at the edge of the pond.

Push the icicle towards the crystaland you will get a prompt to attach them.

Do this and bring the icicle, now attached to the crystal, out of the freezing water. Grab the crystal and walk it up the hill to the shrine.That’s the quest completed.

The shrine, which is called Rutafu-um Shrine, unlocks and reveals itself to be aRauru’s Blessing.

Head inside for a significantly underwhelming reward in the shape ofone piece ofTopaz. Interact with the shrine and get yourLight of Blessing.
