As you reach Chapter Four ofPlanet of Lana, titled Secrets in the Dark, you’ll come across your first puzzle that requires a little more thought than the usual run-of-the-mill obstacles you’ve been encountering thus far.

The Organ Pipe Bell Puzzle
When you reach this puzzle, the camera pans out so you may see the strange contraption in front of you. It has pipes and a bell, so it appears to be some kind of musical organ. There arefour sliding mechanisms that you can interact with, and each has a number of dots below it. Depending on how you position each mechanism changes the dots displayed.
The idea here is toposition all four sliding mechanisms in the correct orderso that when you jump on the rope to the right of the screen, it will play the correct tune and open up the door on the right so you can progress.
How To Find The First Clue
There are two clues that will help you with this puzzle. The first can be found byclimbing the ledge abovewhere you entered on the left of the screen, and continuing along until the rocks light up.Command Mui to wait on the rocksso they stay lit, thenreturn to the rightto see the first clue lit up above you.
This clue shows that the mechanism with the large handle — essentially the one with a hollowed-out rectangle above it — should be positioned so that the first part of the slider comes first, then two dots, then the next part of the slider, followed by two more dots.
This is theslider positioned in the bottom left of the device, so make sure youdrag it as far left as it can goto copy the instruction.
How To Find The Second Clue
Jump down beneath this first sliding mechanism and continue right to where the wood is.Drag the wood to the left to reveal the next clue.This shows the slider with the small solid handle should be positioned to show a dot, the first part of the slider, another dot, the next part of the slider, and a final dot.
This is thesliding mechanism on the top left of the device, so head up there anddrag it to the right onceto replicate this.
How To Position The Last Two Sliding Mechanisms
That leaves us with two remaining sliders to sort. You’ll notice that the first mechanism hasno dotsbefore the first slider part, while the next hasone dotbefore the first slider part.
Following the idea this is a pattern, we should progress to two dots before the first part, then three.
For thebottom left slider, drag it to the right until it has two dots before the first slider part, one dot, then the second slider part.
Climb upto the mechanism above anddrag the final slider to the right so there are three dots, the first slider part, then two dots, then the second slider part.
Once these are in place,jump on the rope to the right, and you’ll hear the organ bell contraption chime the correct series of notes that you should be more than familiar with by now. You’ll know it’s correct because it’ll be echoed by the door before it opens, allowing you to progress further.
