The Witcher 3’ssecond expansion, Blood and Wine, begins like many of Geralt’s greatest adventures; with a witcher contract. The contract itself is intended to begin later in the game and will only be available when the quest Envoys, Wineboys starts.

While short, the quest gives you a taster of what’s to come, with a healthy dose of culture shock and a chance to act like a Knight Errant. How To Start Blood And Wine In The Witcher 3

No matter how badly you want to leave Velen for the far sunnier land of Toussaint, you will have to wait until youcompleteA Poet Under Pressurein Geralt’s search for Ciri. Considering thatEnvoys, Wineboys recommends that you are around Level 34to start, you are better off starting far later.

You couldstart a new game that puts you at the start of this expansion,though you probably wouldn’t be searching this guide if you did.

Whenever you feel ready to begin,go to any of the nine notice boardsin Velen for a notice titled, “Appeal to Sir Geralt of Rivia, the Bridge his Crest”. Reading it willpoint you to Stonecutters' Settlementin Velen, where Toussaint’s knights await.

What Decision To Make With The Bandits

You will finda pair of knights in the settlement,either talking to the locals or inside a hut. In true Toussaint tradition, they aim tofree the peasants from the bandits terrorizing them.Geralt can eitherencourage or dissuade the knights.

Thefastest way to resolve the questwould be todissuade the knights.After all, there’s no way that Velen will be free of crime after killing just one gang. Saving your effort may be wise.

If youencourage them,the knightswill battle the banditsin a short battle. By this point, such foes shouldn’t be much of a threat to Geralt.

Concluding the knights' business will start a cutscene leading toThe Beast of Toussaint,starting the Blood and Wine expansion in earnest.
