The Actor’s Story inLayers Of Fear (2023)is a remake of Layers Of Fear 2. It tells the tale of the Burns children, a pair of Edwardian orphans stowing away on board the RMS Odyssey. As the Actor revisits the past, you’ll face several choices that determine the outcome.

How Is The Ending Determined?
In every chapter of the Actor’s Story except for the last, you’ll begiven an instructionby the Director. The game tracks whether youfollow the directions you’re givenordisobey and do the opposite.If youobey the Director in all four scenarios, you’ll get the Flame ending. If youdefy the Director each time, you’ll receive the Always ending. If you follow instructions sometimes but disobey others, you’ll receive the Formless ending.

How To Get The Flame Or Always Ending
The Director usually makes it quite clear what he wants you to do, but sometimes he speaks cryptically or waits for you to make a move before giving feedback. If you disobey the Director, you’ll always have a chance to change your mind and follow his instructions; if you obey, however, you’ll usually be sent straight on without any chance to reconsider.

Whenever you’re in the cabin between chapters, you canvisit the recording roomto review your choices, though you may’t change them unless you start a new playthrough.
