If you’ve built your characters to the point where they can easily clear the overworld mobs inHonkai: Star Rail, you’ll most likely try to find harder content. There are two permanent combat-type mechanics in the game, but only one of them truly pushes you to the limit.

This mechanic is known as Forgotten Hall, and you can find it in the Parlor Car area. This area will be at the top of the list of sections on the map, no matter which planet you’re on. The more you progress in Forgotten Halls, the harder it’ll be to beat it.
How To Unlock Forgotten Hall
You won’t see the Forgotten Hall in your game at the start. To unlock it, you’ll firstneed toreach Trailblaze Level 20and upgrade your Equilibrium level for the first time. To do this, you’ll have to defeat two mini-bosses in a domain located in the Robot Settlement area. There’ll be a few changes in your world after upgrading this level.
You’ll have higher difficulties unlocked on farming areas like Calyxes, Cavern of Chaos, and Echoes of War.
Moreover, thegeneral mobs in the overworld will also gain some levelsand drop better rewards.
Upgrading your Equilibrium level will also increase the maximum level you’re able to reach to 30. You have toreach level 21 to get a quest called Fleeting Lights from Pom-Pom. This will appear on your quest screen automatically when you reach the required level. During the quest, you’ll meet a Messenger who follows the Fuli Aeon.
After a bit of dialogue, she’ll unlock the Forgotten Hall, which will appear as a permanent teleport point.
Memory Floors Guide
There are two realms in the Forgotten Hall, but you’ll only have the Memory realm unlocked in the beginning. This contains a total of 15 floors and you have to defeat one or two mini-bosses on each floor. You can get two types of rewards from the Memory floors: rewards for clearing it and rewards for reaching a certain number of stars cumulatively.
These are all one-time rewards. You’ll unlock a certain floor after clearing the floor before it,but you don’t have to get three stars for this. You’ll only have to fight one mini-boss on a single floor up until floor five. From floors six to ten, you’ll find two mini-bosses on a single floor, and you have to choose the Weaknesses shared by both enemies.
Finally, for floors ten to 15,you’ll have to make two teams of one to four characters each. These teams will each fight one mini-boss. The conditions to get a certain number of stars are shared across all these floors:
If your character gets knocked down andis revived through some mechanic, it’s still considered one knock down.
You’ll get Artifact EXP, Light Cone EXP, character EXP, Lucent Afterglow, and Credits for clearing a certain floor. The stars you get on that floor don’t matter as far as you defeat the enemies. Lucent Afterglow is used in the Forgotten Hall shop to buy different Light Cones. On the other hand, getting a certain number of stars give you Stellar Jades and Credits.
These rewards are unlocked at every three stars you achieve cumulatively across all 15 floors.you may get 200 Stellar Jades and 20,000 Credits each time you unlock a reward.
Chaos Memory Floors Guide
The Memory of Chaos is the second realm inside Forgotten Hall thatyou can unlock after clearing all the levels on the Memory floor. Your stars on these floors aren’t taken into account, which means that you’re able to even clear all 15 floors with zero stars and still unlock Memory of Chaos.
This realm contains a total of ten floors that work similarly to the Memory Realm, but there are a few differences:
Since these floors reset every two weeks, therewards you’ll get for clearing them or for getting a certain number of stars are significantly decreased. To put it into perspective, you can only get 60 Stellar Jades for every three stars gained instead of 200. The total number of Jades you can get every two weeks from Memory of Chaos is 600.
This doesn’t even equate to a total of four wishes, soyou don’t have to stress too much if you’re not able to clear it.
The Memory of Chaos is supposed to keep players interested in the combat system of the game, so it’ll get harder with time.
Forgotten Hall Shop Light Cone Guide
When you talk to the Messenger in front of Forgotten Hall, you can go to the shop whereyou’ll see seven Light Cones, each belonging to one of the seven paths in the game. Each Light Cone will cost 200 Lucent Afterglow, which means that you need 1000 to get one Light Cone to Superimposition Five.
Forgotten Hall isn’t the only place to get these Light Cones. If you’re lucky, you’re able to also get them dropped when youfight in Echoes of War.
Moreover, these Light Cones can also be acquired by exploring different planets andspending the currency in exclusive planet shops.
You’ll get500 Lucent Afterglow after clearing the Memory floors, which will let you buy two of these Light Cones. On the other hand, you can only get 80 of them if you clear all ten Memory of Chaos floors after every reset. You can also get some Lucent Afterglow every time you fight the Echoes of War.
