How To Unlock The Harald Hammerstorm DLC
As withUlrika Magdova, Harald Hammerstorm can be unlocked viaTotal War Access. This can be navigated via theHammerstorm notificationin thebottom right corner of the game’s main menu. This will prompt you tocreateorsyncyour already existing account, which is a pretty simple process.
After entering your details and signing up on theCreative Assemblywebsite, Harald will be unlocked for use in the game.
Even if you create your Total War Access account to unlock Harald,you won’t need to download any DLCto access him in-game.
How To Unlock Harald In A Campaign
Harald Hammerstorm is amelee-focused Legendary Hero, who can be recruited byWarriors of Chaosfactions. Neither Daemon of Chaos nor Mono-God factions will be able to access him, despite being able to recruit other Warriors of Chaos units.
To access him, simplylevel up any Legendary Lord to Level 15, and the ‘The Hammerstorm Cometh’ will automatically pop up. This will task you withkilling 3000 enemies in battle. A relatively simple goal, and one that shouldn’t take you too many turns to complete. After finishing the quest,Harald should appear next to your lord’s army.
‘Harry the Hammer’specialises in fighting Undeadopponents as his unique weapon;The Hammer of Harrycan remove theUndeadtrait from enemies, making them susceptible to psychological effects such as Fear and Horror. No other unit can achieve this effect in the game, making Harald a niche but effective counter to a particularly strong faction type.
The Hammerstorm holds up well against other enemies, beingheavily armored, and able to dish out a respectable amount of damage. He lacks any large unique spells but iscapable of providing some strong stat buffs to his parent army for free, making him a valuable pickup for any Warriors of Chaos campaign.
