With Prince Eric in the village, adventure is always on the horizon inDisney Dreamlight Valley. The problem is that you can only adventure so far without the right tools. Prince Eric has plans for his life now that he’s no longer a withered plant, but he needs your help to bring those plans to life.

Help Prince Eric get back on the sea by restoring some of his equipment, so he can explore and bring back treasures for you to use. This short, but important, quest will help build your relationship with the Prince and grant you plenty of interesting blueprints to purchase.
How To Unlock Back On The Waves Friendship Quest
Before you may begin helping Prince Eric with this quest, there are a fewprerequisitesto finish. You’ll need to haveunlocked WALL-E and raised Prince Eric’s friendship to level seven. After completing his previous Friendship Quest,Part of His World, and fulfilling the other requirements,talk to Prince Eric.
He’s excited to be human again, but he feels like something is missing in his life. Going back out to sea would help, as he used to do expeditions before The Forgetting. However,he needs maps. You’ll need totalk to Scrooge McDuck, his old business partner to see what can be done.
Once you get theSea Maps from Scrooge McDuck, there’s another hiccup in the plan.Eric’s compass seems to be broken, and he won’t get far without it. Luckily, you know someone who can help.
How To Fix Eric’s Compass
Make sure the Broken Compass is in your inventorybefore going totalk to WALL-E. When you speak with him, he offers to help repair the equipment.
However, you’ll need tocraft a new Dreamlight Magnetto help guide the prince in his travels. Thankfully, the Dreamlight Valley is lush with the materials needed to do this.
Iron Ingot
Four
you may craft Iron Ingots from five Iron Ore, which can be mined from rock nodes in the Sunlit Plateau, Forgotten Lands, Forest of Valor, Glade of Trust, and Vitalys Mine.
Tinkering Parts
Six
you’re able to craft three Tinkering Parts from two Iron Ingots, so you’ll need tofind some iron ore and craft it into ingots.
Crystal
Eight
you may mine Crystal from rock nodes in the Forgotten Lands
After gathering the necessary materials,head to a Crafting Table and put them all together to craft a Dreamlight Magnet.Then, you’ll need totake it to WALL-E, so he can repair the compass. He’ll give you back a fully-functioning compass to return to Prince Eric.
How To Unlock The Project Table
Hurry back toPrince Ericandhand him the compass.He’s grateful for the help and excited to get back to exploring. Thanks to you, he canuse those Sea Maps to uncover new blueprints, which leads to your reward.
