Where To Start Treasure Hunt: Tough Luck
This quest iswest of the Ferry Station Fast Travel pointin Velen. The fastest way to reach it would be toride from Ferry Station,though you will be passing through a dangerous route witha bandit den and ghoul nestalong the way.
The danger is not limited to the route, however. When you arrive, you will have to face the monster responsible for killing the family,a foglet.In all likelihood, you will have to kill the monster before you may loot the cart.
Foglets areannoying foes to fightthanks to their ability toturn invisible in their own fog.You can remove this advantage bythrowing a Moon Dust bombat them or byhitting them with Aardwhile they are in the fog.
Once the area is clear, you can start the quest bylooting a letter from a man’s corpseby the cart.
Unlocking The Chest
Unlike most treasure hunts in the game,the key is separate from the letter.Use Geralt’s Witcher Senses to finda woman’s corpsedown the road.The key is on her body.
Use the key to unlockthe chest on the cart,letting you appropriate the family’s goods for your own ends.The chest’s contents are random,though it will contain something worth selling. It may be a tad tasteless, but you need it more than they do.
