Things like good armor, a heavily upgraded vigor trait, and plenty of healing supplies can help you survive. But sometimes, attack is the best form of defense. So, if you have good weapons, you’re more likely to win every fight. Thankfully, you don’t just have to hope you find the occasional strong gun. You can make your arsenal stronger through upgrades. This is how you do that.
How To Upgrade Your Weapons
To upgrade your weapons, you need topay a visit to Don Rigler, aka Rigs.
You can alwaysfind him in Ward 13. He works on thebottom floor of the warehouse.
Simply go up to him andtell him you want to upgrade your weapons. This will take you to the upgrade screen.
From here, youcan boost the level of your guns and melee tool.
What You Need To Upgrade Your Weapons
Unfortunately, despite Rigs being a nice fellow, he doesn’t just upgrade your weapons for nothing. Youhave to bring him the materialsto do it.
Traditional weaponsrequire scrap and iron to be upgraded.
Level one weapons only need 200 pieces of scrap to be boosted, and the amount goes up by 20 for each subsequent rank.
The amount of iron required also increases by level. More importantly, though, the type of iron you need changes.

N/A (requires Simulacrum instead)
Theunique weapons you find or craft are a bit different to upgrade.
They also require scrap and sometimes iron, but youalso often need lumenite crystals and occasionally a simulacrum. The last two things are rarer and harder to find than iron or scrap. But you should locate some by exploring worlds and killing powerful creatures.
you may talk to Rigs and go into the upgrade menu whenever you want to know the requirements for an upgrade.
