How To Activate First-Person Mode

Unlikeromancing the Grim Reaper, viewing the world from your Sim’s eyes is asquick as a couple of button presses.

Toenter first-person mode, all you need to do is press the following buttons based on your console.

How To Exit First-Person Mode

To exit first-person mode, you simply need to press the same buttons you did to enter the mode. So, if you are on PC, just press Shift and Tab together again.

How To Use First-Person Mode

Once you’re in first-person mode, there are afew things to be aware ofin order to make the most of the experience.

Moving your mouse around will allow you to look around the game world. On either PlayStation or Xbox, this involves just moving around your right analog stick.

If there are multiple Sims in your household, you can seamlesslyswitch between their perspectivesby pressingSpace.

How To Move Around In First-Person Mode

Moving your Sim around the house is as simple asclickingon the desired location andselecting the ‘Move Here’ command that pops up.

You’re not restrictedto moving around in the room that your Sim is in. To leave the room,right-clickthe door for the ‘Go Here’ option to appear. On Playstation, this can be done by pressing ‘O’, and on Xbox, you just need to press ‘B’.

Tips For First-Person Mode

While viewing the world as your Sim does undoubtedly bring about a certain charm and depth to your gameplay experience, it’s important to note thatthe game wasn’t designed for this particular point of view.

You will likelyencounter some minor bugs and animation issues, especially during interactions like woo-hooing.

Sometimes you might findmissing or distorted textures depending on the angle you view the item or objectfrom, making it look extremely weird and immersion-breaking.

The field of view isn’t for everyone asit can be disorienting and cause motion sickness. Make sure to take care when using first-person mode and exit it if you think it will make you feel uneasy.
