Destiny 2: Lightfalladded three new Lost Sectors to the Legendary rotation. All of Neomuna’s Lost Sectors are significantly longer than other destinations, featuring nearly 100+ enemies and pacing that mimics what you’d expect from a strike. This can make clearing these on Master a challenge, but it’s far from impossible.

If you’re looking for a challenge, Hydroponics Delta is for you. This is arguably the longest Lost Sector in the game, featuring multiple waves of Cabal enemies and a final boss arena that has minimal cover. This guide will showcase the safest way to clear this Lost Sector solo flawlessly. We’ll cover everything from the best loadouts to optimal strategies to make your clear of Hydroponics Delta as smooth as possible.
Modifiers And Recommended Loadout
Hydroponics Delta is arguably the hardest Lost Sector in the game. It consists of over 100 enemies, half a dozen Champions, and a boss that has as much HP as some strike bosses. You’ll need a good loadout and an even better strategy to beat this one.We do not recommend farming this Lost Sector for Exoticsdue to how long it is. Only run this if you’re chasing solo flawless Triumphs.
Strand and Void
Barrier and Unstoppable
Master Difficulty
Equipment Locked
You will not be able to change your equipped loadout after this activity starts.
Limited Revives
Limited fireteam revives. Gain additional revives by defeating Champions.
Master difficulty imposes a -20 Power delta, causing enemies to be at 1,840 Power. That means you’ll need to be 1,820 Power to deal optimal damage. Legend is a -15 Power limit. This is quite noticeable in this Lost Sector due to the sheer number of adds. A good add-clearing build is downright required to complete this flawlessly.
Threadrunner or Nightstalker
Berserker or Sentinel
Warlock
Shadebinder or Broodweaver
We’ll be recommending Strand on all three classesfor this Lost Sector due to their access to Suspend, a debuff that effectively counters everything in this Lost Sector. All classes can use Shackle Grenades, Hunters can use Ensnaring Slam, Titans have their Barricade, and Warlocks can proc Weaver’s Trance. If your build can also proc Woven Mail, even better
Hunterscan also give Nightstalker a try if they dislike Threadrunner. High uptime on Devour is downright required to stay alive. Use Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk to give your Void weapons Volatile Rounds, and you should have little issue clearing out the dozens of adds in this Lost Sector.
Titansmight want to try Sentinel if Berserker isn’t working out. Spec into Void Overshields to give yourself some added survivability during the final boss room. Volatile Rounds also gives you a way to break Barrier Champion shields, meaning you’ll only need to spec for Unstoppable counters.
Warlocksshouldn’t be surprised that we recommend Shadebinder here. Bleak Watcher turrets are amazing in add-dense situations, this Lost Sector being no exception. Use Osmiomancy Gloves and spec for short grenade cooldowns to spawn as many Bleak Watchers as possible.
Weapons
Wish-Ender
Counters Barrier Champions, is great at range, and one-taps most adds.
Counters Unstoppable Champions and annihilates Champions.
Glaives
Counters Unstoppable Champions this season.
There are an even number of Barrier and Unstoppable Champions present here, so you’ll want solid counters for both enemy types. We highly recommendWish-Enderfor Hydroponics Delta. It one-taps most Cabal, breaks Barrier Champion shields, and has infinite ammo. And since it’s an Exotic Primary, Wish-Ender is excellent for spawning Heavy ammo if you have Ammo Finders equipped on your armor.Machine Gunswork great with this setup.
If you’re struggling to manage your Heavy ammo in general, giveLeviathan’s Breatha go. It kills most Champions in two shots, has a massive ammo reserve with its Catalyst, and intrinsically stuns Unstoppable Champions. As for your other weapons,Pulse RiflesandGlaivescan stun the Champions present in this Lost Sector during Season of Defiance, assuming you have the correct Artifact perks allocated.

Entrance
Entrance Enemies
You’ll start the Lost Sector right next to a couple of Cabal Legionaries and an earshot away from a Cabal army.Kill the two Legion Soldiers and stick to spawn, picking off the ads one by one with your Primary.Attempting to speedrun this Lost Sector is suicide with the sheer number of enemies. You’ll find theBarrier Championat the opposite end of the room. You have a sightline on this Champion from spawn, so you can kill it from safety once the adds are slain. Clear out all the adds to unlock the next room, but be cautious while doing so.
The hallway toward the next room will be guarded by three Phalanx units and a small group of Legion soldiers, nothing a good Primary can’t handle.Stick to the previous room for this part, ducking into the room when you start to get pushed. Killing the first few adds will spawn anUnstoppable Incendioron the right side of the hallway. Counter the Champion and quickly kill it using a Heavy weapon. War Beasts and a Gladiator will spawn shortly thereafter. A grenade or any AoE ability should clear the beasts out. For the Gladiator, keep your distance while damaging it with your Special weapon. Enter the next room when you’re ready.
Maintenance Room
Maintenance Room Enemies
This room demands that you take it slow.Stick to the entryway and nearby boxes for most of this encounter. Pushing any closer will get you killed. You’ll want to pick off the Psions on the walkway in front of you and the three Cabal turrets on the next walkway. This will spawn anUnstoppable Incendiorto your right. We recommend stunning the Champion while you focus on the other adds. Destroy any backpack cells that drop to ensure the enemies are taking full damage.
After clearing the first pack of adds, a secondary group of enemies will spawn slightly further back. More adds make up this group. you’re able to kill most of these enemies with your Primary from a safe distance. Backtrack into the previous hallway if the enemies start to push. A fewGladiators and War Beastsare part of this pack so be careful.
A final group of adds will spawn once you’ve slain most enemies. This group will spawn at the very back of the room, consisting of aBarrier Colossusand more fodder enemies. The Champion will attempt to jump onto the nearby walkway before melting you with its minigun. Try your best to stun this Champion to give yourself some breathing room. Kill the adds, finish the Champion, then make your way to the final boss arena.
Boss Arena
Boss Arena Enemies
This boss arena is a meatgrinder if you aren’t careful.Right as you drop into the arena, turn around and look at the nearby crates. You can climb up them to reach the vent you just came from. This acts as a safe vantage point that lets you pick off the adds from a safe distance, giving you some much-needed cover.
As for the room itself, you’ll immediately be pushed by twoUnstoppable Incendiors.attempt to focus on killing one of them, stunning both before using your Heavy weapon to damage one of them. Some adds will spawn shortly afterward. Jump up into the vent for some cover. Kill the adds, then drop down to slay the final Champion. Hop back up into the vent, kill the adds, then drop down to damage the boss. You’ll want to repeat this process until you’ve slain the boss. The boss itself won’t move to the vent, but the adds will. Keep luring enemies to you, take out all the Cabal, then open the chest when the coast is clear.
