The Gerudo Desert may seem like a large empty space inThe Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom, but it hides more than is apparent. Aside from communities along the roads, there are also a lot of old structures and a lot of Shrines that have recently appeared.

The Kudanisar Shrine is just one of them, but it is not the most obvious being off the beaten path. There are multiple ways to reach the Shrine but be prepared for a somewhat long and tricky chamber awaiting within. It’s a relatively safe chamber, but it can be quite frustrating if you try to rush through.
Reaching Kudanisar Shrine
Map Coordinates: -4168, -2144, 0050
This Shrine can be spotted from a fair distance if you are on the road through the Gerudo Desert.It’s on an elevated rocky structure from the Sky Kingdom,which means it has some hostile Zonai Constructs protecting it. It’s also surrounded by fast-moving sand, making approaching on foot difficult. You can get closer by using a sled device and some fans.
However, if you don’t want to risk losing any health or arrows, there’s a safer way to reach the Shrine.Make your way to theGerudo Highlands Skyview Tower, where you can launch yourself and start gliding south to the Shrine.
It’s near the cliff side,where the desert meets the mountains near the entrance to Karusa Valley, and can be spotted due to the Sky Kingdom rocks being a different color from their surroundings. You can glide over and safely descend to the front of the Shrine and enter it before the Constructs have a chance to react.
Solving The Kudanisar Shrine
As soon as you enter, you’ll see a wide open chamber that’s a miss of shifting sand, elevated areas, fences, and stone platforms scattered throughout the sand. You’ll need to do a combination of building and navigating to finish the challenge. Thankfully,you can’t drown in the sand, but it will rapidly drain your stamina when moving in it. Note that the sand is always flowing towards the east wall.
The first area isa small fenced-in space with three wooden boards, two floating towards the wall and one sticking up, not moving. Even though the sand drains your stamina, you can still move through it and use the Move power.
Do this while grabbing and attaching the boards together. Then, place them against the far stone platform to climb out of the sand. After,place them as a ramp against the fence to climb over itand into the next area.
In the second area, use the boards you just made to cross over to the ladder. There will be a Construct behind the board sticking out,which can be defeated with a headshot or by dropping the board on it(be careful not to let its drops fall into the sand).
When you reach the ladder, climb up and hit the switch. This will cause an orb to drop, which will be launched to a fenced area on the far side of the chamber. Your goal:Get the orb and bring it back to the basin next to the switch.
How To Find Each Chest
Head down the stairs from the orb platform and jump to the stone platform with two Zonai Airboatsand a few wooden boards. Board and take control of a Zonai Airboat and drive left to find a suspended chest.
Cut it down with an arrow andgrab it with Move to bring it to the nearby stone platform to open it and get ten arrows. Then, take the Airboat to the opposite side, up from the starting area fence, to reach an elevated platform with a Construct on it and a board nearby.
Take out the Construct, then park the Airboat on the far side of the platform so that the sand pushes it into stone.Grab the board, place it against the stone on the Airboat, and climb up itto reach the other chest and get a Speed Potion.
With that done, head back to the island with the other Airboat.Attach the two Airboatsside by side, and then attach a board to the middle part between the Fans. Drive the new Airboat carefully to the orb area and go along the side so the board is near or touching the surrounding metal platform.
Stop controlling, then immediately hit the Fans to activate them. This will keep the board in place so you’re able to climb it up to the platform. Alternatively, use Ascend from the airboat underneath the ledge.Take out the two Constructs and enter the fenced area to get the orband a new Airboat. Attach the orb to the Airboat and drive it back to the orb basin.
you may also cast Recall on the orb to have it automatically fly back to the section it initially came from
Take the nearby boards, lean them against the wall, and then attach the orb to the top soyou can grab it from the basin area. Climb the board or return to the ladder from earlier to get back to the basin area. Put the orb into the basin to unlock the door and get your reward.
