There is a lot to do in Minecraft 1.20 Trails and Tales. A lot of them work hand in hand with each other, however. It all boils down to a few new additions to the game that will give you purpose and reignite your sense of exploration in Minecraft.
9Archeology
Archeology ties together a lot of new aspects of Minecraft with the 1.20 update. Trails and Tales add the suspicious sand block type, a brush tool, and pottery shards to collect.These are important itemsto put together.
The brush is used on the suspicious sand that you find. After a short while of brushing, the sand will reveal anything from random objects to pottery shards, and then you can use four pottery shards to make a decorative pot.
8Bamboo Blocks
Bamboo is abundant in Minecraft 1.20 Trails and Tales, and it grows and allows you to collect bamboo blocks. That adds a brand-new bamboo wood set to the game, and everyone loves new sets of wood in Minecraft.
Bamboo createsnew ways to build, decorate, and travel. You’ll be able to make basic slabs and stairs, but also mosaic blocks for flooring and a raft.
Float on the water with your bamboo raft or use it to haul some other items across your world.
7Sniffers
The Sniffer won the Minecraft Live 2022 Mob Vote. It now arrives with Minecraft 1.20, brought back from extinction.
You’ll have to hatch some sniffer eggs into little snifflets if you want to fill your world with this new mob.

Sniffer eggs are found in suspicious sand and work like other eggs in the game. After you’ve cared for one all the way to a full-fledged sniffer, you can befriend it and put it to work.
They’ll sniff out seeds that you can grow into decorative plants.
6Camels
Camels are here with Minecraft 1.20 Trails and Tales. They change the way mountable mobs work.
Since they are so large, two players are able to jump on their backs and go for a ride. The height of a camel also allows them to walk over fences and short walls.
You cantempt and breedthis like other mobs in Minecraft, but good luck getting them on their feet if they are lying down for a rest. If you do manage to saddle one, you’ll have a mob so tall that hostiles won’t even be able to reach you.
5Piglin Heads
You’ve been able to collect the heads ofseveral hostile mobsin the past, but Minecraft 1.20 introduces piglin heads to that bunch. The treacherous piglin heads can be captured after one has been defeated, and it can then be used with a brand-new feature.
Trails and Tales add playable mob sounds to Minecraft. Whether it is a piglin head or a creeper head, you may place it on a note block.
It will then play the respective mob’s ambient sound. Why not create a symphony of mob noises to scare your friends?
4Hanging Signs
Signs are a huge part of Minecraft. You can label and mark just about anything with a well-placed sign.
Now, with the Trails and Tales update, you can hang some signs. You’re even able to do it with any wood type you want.

If you want to hang a sign, you can do so underneath any block or to the side of one. Your signs get some added flair with the ability to be hung now.
It’s up to you whether you want to point travelers in the right direction or lead them to their unexpected doom.
3Armor Trims
Armor protects youfrom all kinds of danger in Minecraft. Whether it is a hostile mob or fire, your armor is there to keep you safe.
With the 1.20 update, you can make that armor feel more like your own.
Armor trims give you the ability to personalize your armor. There are 11 patterns with 10 different colors to choose from.
You don’t have to stick with generic skin any longer. You can make yourself stand out with armor trims.
2Bookshelves
Chiseled bookshelves are a great part of the Minecraft 1.20 update. Trails and Tales let you create your very own library if you wish.
You can store up to six books. This can be regular ones, enchanted books, written books, or quills.
It doesn’t come with an interface of any kind, though. You just directly add and remove books from the bookshelf.
You are able to target a specific spot on the bookshelf to place the book, however. Create a bookshelf of your deepest thoughts for explorers to study in your world.
1Cherry Blossoms
It ishard to top a new biomearriving in Minecraft. The Cherry Blossom biome is added with the 1.20 update and is a sight to behold.
Pigs, sheep, and bees swarm the cherry blossom trees so you’ll find plenty of them in this biome.
Not only is it beautiful, but it provides you with a complete set of pink wood. On top of that, saplings can be harvested and cherry blossom trees can be planted wherever you like.
The creative possibilities seem endless with the inclusion of the biome.
