However,cooking is not very lucrative, especially early in the game. Most cooked dishes do not sell for much more than the ingredients by themselves. So, if you have too many dishes, by all means sell them, but don’t expect to get rich off pickling turnips. You’re better offeating your mealsto fill your energy meter orgifting liked dishesto the townspeople.
9Don’t Ignore The Archeological Dig Site
Unlike cooking,digging at the archeological site can yield a major profit.This activity takes time, but you can findfossils, coins, ore, and gemstones. Golden items and ore tend to have the highest sale value, and villagers like Lumina and Tei like gems as gifts.

As the years go by, the site expands, and you can find more treasure. You will also find up toone stone tablet each year. Upon exiting the site, the archeologist Carter will take the tablet off your hands and tell you about the history of Forgotten Valley.
8Don’t Plant A Crop In The Off Season
Each season laststen days. If you’ve played Story of Seasons before, you know how important it is toplant crops in the designated season. For example, watermelon seeds will grow from spring to summer.
Manycrops can grow in multiple seasons, so you could still reap the harvest in the season after you initially planted. That means, if you plant watermelons in the spring, with the right amount of watering they will bear fruit up to the end of summer. But,if you try to grow a crop in the off season, it will wilt, andyou’ll have to clear it out with a Sickle.
7Don’t Buy The Seed Maker
The Seed Maker is an expensive purchase at 30,000 G, but you canacquire onefor free. You will first need tobefriend Darylthe scientist andvisit his labwhen he is there to trigger the Seed Maker cutscene. Daryllikes fish and fossils, so bring him lots of those.
Once you receive the Seed Maker, you use it toturn one crop into two seeds of the same quality. If you have a S crop, you may get two S seeds from the Maker.
6Don’t Leave Your Barn Animals Out In The Rain
you’re able to take your animals out tograzeby ringing the bell. Cows, sheep, and goats do not like being in therain or snow, though. They cannot get sick, but they will produce lower quality products if left outside. So,check the weather on TVand bring them inside if the forecast indicates bad weather.

4Don’t Forget To Do Your Farm Chores Twice
You canwater your crops twice a day. This is especially important in the summer and for crops that take longer to grow. If you forget to do so too many times,the more sensitive crops will wiltor might not be ready for harvest by the season’s end.
You can alsomilk your cows and collect eggs twice a day, so you should go straight from the fields to the barn and coop first thing in the morning and once again in the evening. Some villagers will also acceptmore than one gift per day.
3Don’t Give A Villager Their Disliked Item
Every villager has their likes and dislikes. While you can give someone of their preferred items to improve your relationship with them, you willnegatively impact your relationshipif you hand them something they dislike. They will respond with negative dialogue and might even outright refuse the disliked gift.

Avoid giving your romantic interest an item they hate at all costs or be prepared tolower their affectionfor you. Conversely, giving someone an item that they like will raise their heart levels.
2Don’t Neglect Your Livestock
Animals cannot get sick and die, but that doesn’t mean you should neglect them! Cows and goats produce valuable milk; sheep can be sheared for their wool; and chicken and ducks lay eggs.Animal products are an excellent source of incomeand can be sold to the merchant Van or from the shipping bin.
You will want tofeed, brush, and check on your livestock every day.Animals will reward you with higher quality products when properly taken care of, and their health and heart levels, as well as the quality of their products, will deteriorate if you ignore them for too long.
1Don’t Stay Single For Too Long
Do not put off choosing a future spouse!You have one year to befriend and propose to one ofeight bachelors and bachelorettes, available to all regardless of your character’s gender.
If you have not successfully proposedbythe end of Year One, the game will let youchoose from a list of marriage candidates with 6 Affection hearts and 17 Friendship points.It’s game over if no one meets those requirements.
