After literal months of speculation, leaks, updated domain names, cries from frustrated Persona fans, and an absolutely catastrophic leak just days before the Xbox Games Showcase, Atlus has finally revealed Persona 3 Reload and a new Persona 5 spin-off title called Persona 5 Tactica. Both titles were accidentally revealed via Atlus' Instagram account earlier this week, but we’ve now had the official announcements, surprising absolutely no one.

It wasPersona 3 Reloadthat was announced first, a remake of the original Persona 3 that launched back in 2006. In the trailer, we see new character portraits for characters such as Junpei and Yukari, a completely overhauled city for our main protagonist to run around in, a revamped version of Tartarus as well as a couple of fights, and a very brief look at the game’s UI, which is looking as stylish as always. We also got a release date, although it only states Early 2024 as the potential window.

Atlus' second game announcement of the evening was Persona 5 Tactica, a turn-based tactics game starring the Phantom Thieves. Details about where our beloved gang of heroes are or why they seem to be in a new Palace are unknown, but we do know that they’ll be accompanied by a new member who is a part of a mysterious Rebel Core. The trailer also gives us a look at some of the tactical combat we can expect going in, as well as a release date of November 17 later this year.

In typical Xbox fashion, the publisher also announced that both titles are also launching on Xbox Game Pass, meaning you can download and play them right away should you be interested. IOt wasn’t announced during the show, but both titles are also believed to be coming to PlayStation consoles as well as Nintendo Switch, but the latter is unconfirmed at the moment.

Now that Persona 3 Reload has actually been confirmed, we know thatthe gameplay that leaked back in April this yearwas actually legit. A brief combat segment featruing Yukari firing her bow at a Shadow was shown off earlier this year, although fans didn’t quite know if the thing was real ot not. Many pointed to her lack of any SEES equipment as proof that it was fan-made, but subsequent rumors such asa new web domainandcomments from reliable insiderssuggested it was real and in development.

We also know that domain name updates are a pretty good indication that Atlus has an announcement to make, asa Persona 5 Tactica domain name called “P5T” was updated by Atlus last week. Between that and the massive leaks earlier this week, it makes you wonder why it even waited for the Xbox Showcase to officially show off the goods.
