Persona 3 Reloadhas been rumored for quite a while now, with an announcement expected at Xbox’s upcoming games showcase which takes place this Sunday. However, it appears as though a trailer for the title has leaked on Instagram, showcasing the game for the very first time along with a release date announcement of Early 2024.

During the trailer, we see the confirmation of a bunch of different features, including a look at the newly revamped Tartarus labyrinth and some combat. In fact, the combat looks very similar to the gameplay that leaked not too long ago which featured Yakuri attacking a Shadow with her bow. As for the life sim elements, it looks to be heavily inspired by Persona 5, and we get to see a couple of the game’s Social Links too.

While we don’t get to see all of the game’s main cast of characters, we do see a brief shot of Aegis as well as scenes with Junpei and Yukari. It’s unknown as to whether Persona 3 Reload will feature the female protagonist in this remake alongside the male one, butrumors from earlier today suggested that it won’t be “definitive”, meaning either FeS or Portable content could be cut.

To make matter even worse for Atlus, another Persona game announcement also leaked at the same time, a new tactics game called Persona 5 Tactica. Like the name suggests, it stars the beloved Phantom Thieves on a new adventure into a mysterious palace. The art style is very different to what we’ve seen from the mainline Persona games so far, and we even get to see a bunch of gameplay showcasing the battle system. Just like with Persona 3 Reload, we also get a release date for Persona 5 Tactica, which is launching on November 17 later this year.

To top it all off, at the end of both trailer, we also get confirmation that both Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica will be available to play on Xbox Game Pass on the day of launch, which is a pretty massive get for Xbox. Other platforms weren’t mentioned, but it’s likely both games will launch on PlayStation too, but Nintendo Switch is a little bit of mystery. Still, it’s looking like a good time to be a Persona fan, and we can look forward to the proper announcements this Sunday.
