Last week,Atlus finally confirmed what platforms Persona 3 Reload is coming to, noticeably leaving out the Nintendo Switch. Many took this to mean that it isn’t coming to the hit handheld, but a new trailer and store listing seems to say otherwise. As reported byInsider Gaming, a Twitter user by the alias @ScrambledFaz found an unlisted trailer from Atlus which included ‘Nintendo Switch’ among the platforms it’s coming to in the video’s description. This trailer has since been uploaded (meaning that it’s no longer unlisted) and the mention of Nintendo Switch removed. However, UK retailer Game still hasan option to purchase “Persona 3 Reload - Nintendo Switch”.RELATED:Final Fantasy 16’s Demo Was A Stroke Of Marketing GeniusFrom the format drop-down menu, you can select Xbox Series X, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. Then you can pre-order the game for £64.99. This could be an error on Game’s part, but if it is, that would mean cancelling any pre-orders made for the platform. It also doesn’t appear on the end title of the trailer, backing up the concerns that this is a mistake. However, it could just as easily be another accidental leak. Until Atlus clarifies, we can’t say for certain.
No other details are given on Game’s page other than the appearance of the Nintendo Switch in the drop-down menu. It’s worth noting that it also has a placeholder release date of June 03, 2025, as Atlus hasn’t announced when Persona 3 Reload is launching. All we know is that it’s coming out in early 2024, though when exactly isn’t clear.
Game isn’t the only retailer to list a Switch version, as Play Asia also included a pre-order page for the platform at $74.99. However, trying to reach this now lists a ‘404 Not Found’ error as it has been taken down. Game’s page is still up at the time of writing.
The Persona 3 remake has been a leaky mess since it was ‘revealed’. The trailers for it and Persona 5 Tacticawere accidentally uploaded by Atlus itself ahead of the Xbox Showcaseon Instagram, giving us our first look at the game. We saw the revamped Tartarus labyrinth, combat, and new Persona 5-inspired life sim elements. The trailer was eventually released, properly announcing the game, but it has been embroiled in confusion. Not only is it unclear if it’s coming to Nintendo Switch, but fans wanted to know which version of P3 the remake would use as a foundation. As it turns out, it’s the base version, meaning thatwe won’t see any FES or Portable content.
