Personafans will know that Atlus and Nintendo have a rather surprisingly tricky relationship, as theNintendo Switchrarely sees a game in the series launch on the same day as every other platform out there. It was only until last year, that the Nintendo Switch saw the release of Persona 5 Royal, with Persona 5 Strikers being the only notable exception. Unfortunately, it seems like this could also be the case for the recently announcedPersona 3 Reload.

The game was announce during the Xbox Games Showcase last week, meaning there’s been a bit of a delay in Atlus revealing which other platforms the game will be coming to. Atlus has now released the trailer Persona 3 Reload to its official YouTube channel, confirming the game will launch on PS4, PS5, and PC as well as Xbox One and Xbox Series X. However, the Nintendo Switch is nowhere to be seen.

While the notable absence of the Nintendo Switch logo will understandably concern Persona fans that prefer the system, there is still a chance that a Switch version could be announced. It’s still very possible that Nintendo could be saving the announcement of a Switch version of Persona 3 for its next Nintendo Direct showcase, whichis rumored to be taking place next month. Many are pointing out that the company did the same for the recent Persona ports that released earlier this year, so not all hope is lost just yet.

It’s not all bad news for Nintendo Switch owners though, as Atlus also recently confirmed the platforms that Persona 5 Tactica will launch on at the same time. The trailer for the spinoff was uploaded to the official Japanese Atlus YouTube channel, which reveals it will launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Nintendo Switch on November 17 later this year. As for why Atlus has confirmed Persona 5 Tactica’s launch on Switch and not Persona 3 Reload’s, it could potentially be a time issue, as the latter still doesn’t have a confirmed release date just yet.

It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster for Persona 3 fans after the reveal of the remake, with news both good and bad coming thick and fast. For starters, it was explained by Atlus that Persona 3 Reloadwon’t include Persona 3 Portable’s female protagonist, but did hint that it may incoporate story elements from both it and Persona 3 FeS into Reload. We’ll unfortunately have to wait a little bit longer for any more details, but hopefully a new Nintendo Direct later this year will clear up the remake’s availability on the platform,
