Last weekend was supposed to be a big one forPokemon Scarlet & Violetraids. Not only the chance for players to battle and catch version exclusives Iron Treads and Great Tusk, but also a second chance to add Chesnaught to your collection. Unfortunately, all three of those raids were quickly pulled and are yet to return as players reported receiving nothing for beating them thanks to a bug.Reported byDestructoid, a note informing players the raids had been pulled was posted toPokemon’s Japanese Twitter account mere hours after it went live. The raids were supposed to be live from Friday through Sunday, leaving those with plans on taking part in all three with an unexpected free schedule.RELATED:What Game Freak’s Samurai Game Means For PokemonThe information explaining why the three raids weren’t available didn’t make it to other Pokemon accounts until a little while later, leaving many confused as to why none of them were waiting for them when they ventured back into Paldea. Even more confusing was the decision to pull Chesnaught’s raid even though the bug only seemed to affect players after beating the five-star Great Tusk and Iron Treads raids.

A particularly annoying detail for those playingTears of the Kingdom(so, everybody, right?) as the first chance to catch Chesnaught coincided with theZeldagame’s launch weekend. With many of you exploring Hyrule the week prior, you may well have been relying on Chesnaught returning to raids last weekend. No new dates have been announced for any of the canceled raids.

As for what exactly was happening to select players who jumped into the raids early, apparently, the games were crashing and leaving players with a message that simply read “none”. No Pokemon nor additional items to mark all their hard work. Not good, and a problem made even worse as it came just hours afterPokemon Homeintegration with Scarlet & Violet was confirmed only to be thrown back into obscurity again immediately afterward.

Scarlet & Violet enjoyed massive success at launch, selling 10 million copies in its first three days. That might bethe same numbers as Tears of the Kingdom pulled last week, but the Pokemon games didn’t receive the same glowing praise that the Zelda sequel has been enjoying for the past week and a half. Scarlet & Violet were riddled with issues at launch, and unfortunately, it seems many of those problems are yet to be addressed.
