Remnant 2brings back many elements from its successful predecessor,Remnant From the Ashes. One notable returning element is the infamous Ravager. While exploring Yaesha, you might come across the Corrupted Ravager. This time, however, when you first meet him, he won’t be hostile.
After the encounter, there will be a cutscene where the Ravager starts a conversation with you. He will lead you to his den, where you’ll find the injured Doe. At this point, you will be asked to kill the Doe, but remember: this isn’t your only option. There are other ways to handle this situation.
Updated on July 07, 2025, by Mohamed El Ouardighi: The new DLC for Remnant 2 has captured the interest of new gamers, drawing them to pick up the game. We have gone through and revised this guide to keep it up to date, recognizing that the choices made in this stage of the game are crucial for many who want to understand the consequences.
What Happens If You Kill The Doe?
This is probably the easiest approach to the situation, and there are two main reasons for it. Firstly, if you choose to follow the Ravager’s request andkill the Doe, you will essentiallyskip the Ravager boss fight.
Given that the Corrupted form of the Ravager is more powerful than the Ravager from the first game, avoiding this tough battlemight be a good idea.
However, this choice comes with a consequence.
While the Ravager will reward you with theRavager’s Mark Amulet, whichboosts damage dealt to bleeding targets, killing the Doe will result in theBlood Moon Eventbecoming permanent in Yaesha.
This event is essential forfarming Blood Moon Essencewith ease.
If you haven’t unlockedthe Summoner Archetype, then killing the Doe might be the ideal choice.
What Happens If You Revive The Doe?
Rather than ending the Doe’s life, you have the choice to revive it. By approaching the Doe and interacting with it, you will use a Relic charge to bring the injured creature back to life.
This decision prompts a cutscene where the Doe bravely faces the Ravager before making a daring escape.
Be ready, though, as this choiceinitiates the challengingCorrupted Ravager boss fight. If you manage to defeat the Ravager, you will be rewarded with theDoe’s Antler.
This material can be used to craft theRed Doe Staffat McCabe in Ward 13.
What Happens If You Kill The Ravager?
There’s actuallya third approach to this situation, which involvesnot reviving the Doe and directly shooting the Ravagerinstead.
Some might find this option more satisfying after their conversation with the Ravager.
By shooting the Ravager directly, the boss fight will startimmediately, with the injuredDoe remaining in its place. During the battle, when theRavager’s health reaches half, it will attempt toconsume the Doe. This will make the Ravagermore powerfuland even more challenging to defeat.
If you manage to defeat the Ravager in this state, you will be rewarded with theCrimson Membrane. This material can be used to craft theMerciless Long Gunat McCabe.
Be mindfulnot to shoot the Doe, as there is a risk of accidentally killing him. If this happens, you will not receive the Crimson Membrane.
Kill The Doe During The Ravager Boss Fight
Another alternative approach to this boss fight is noteworthy.
If you decide to initiate the boss fight by shooting the Ravager but alsoshoot the Doe to prevent the Ravager from consuming it, defeating the Ravager in this situation will reward you with theRavager’s Maw.
This material can be used to craft theFeral Judgement melee weaponat McCabe’s workshop.
