Skarlet’s voice actor inMortal Kombat 11, Beata Poźniak, has seemingly confirmed that she and the character unfortunately won’t be back forMortal Kombat 1.Now that the initial reveal and gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 are out of the way, most fans have turned their attention to the next big thing - the roster. NetherRealm has only officially revealed a handful of characters so far, most of which are fairly obvious choices, but there have been several leaks that give us a good idea of who might be in it.Related:There Has Never Been A Better Time For Mileena To Get A Happy EndingIt looks like we can count out one fan-favourite, however - Skarlet. Originally introduced as DLC for Mortal Kombat 9, Skarlet quickly became one of the roster’s most beloved characters, something that only grew when she was revealed as one of the first playable characters of the Mortal Kombat 11 roster. That popularity, combined with her unique abilities, made her seem like an obvious pick for Mortal Kombat 1, but that’s apparently not the case.[EMBED_TWITTER]https://twitter.com/BeataPozniak/status/1669439499921772566[/EMBED_TWITTER]Over on Twitter,Skarlet’s Mortal Kombat 11 voice actor, Beata Poźniak, responded to a comment that said that they were going to miss Skarlet in Mortal Kombat 1. Poźniak simply said, “Me too…”, which seems to confirm that Skarlet isn’t in the game, or at least that Poźniak hasn’t been asked to return for her voice.Unfortunately, this seems to track with some roster leaks that have popped up over the past few days. One big roster leak from a trusted source doesn’t mention Skarlet anywhere, suggesting that she’s not going to be playable at all. It’s possible that she’ll be featured as a Kameo fighter, but that’s not been confirmed yet either. She’s also not mentioned as being part of Kombat Pack 1(which was leaked straight after the game’s official announcement), so it’s currently safe to assume that she’s just not in the game whatsoever.[EMBED_REDDIT]https://www.reddit.com/r/MortalKombat/comments/14aiu6d/bad_news_to_skarlet_fans_her_awardwinning_voice/[/EMBED_REDDIT]That being said, Mortal Kombat does have a frustrating tradition of replacing voice actors between games. Aside from a few popular characters like Raiden, Sub-Zero, and Johnny Cage, many of the Mortal Kombat fighters have had their voices changed several times, both throughout the different eras and even in between games like Mortal Kombat 9 and Mortal Kombat 11.Mortal Kombat 1 does seem to be trying a little harder to keep the voice cast from previous Mortal Kombat games, with Liu Kang finally keeping a voice between new entries, which only seems to strengthen the theory that Skarlet isn’t returning for the latest game. Beata Poźniak is clearly interested, so it wouldn’t make sense to replace her, suggesting Skarlet just isn’t around.Next:Riku Being Gay Is Key To Kingdom Hearts
