Spider-Punk has an incredibly distinct visual style inAcross the Spider-Versebecause he’s animated on three’s (which means that the artwork stays the same for three frames in a row), while individual parts of his character are animated on different frame rates (like his guitar, jacket, and outline). The rules change when necessary, but he also flips to black and white on occasion, giving his entire character a disruptive appearance, perfectly in-line with his personality. Modder GalanArtworks is now trying to bring that unique style toSpider-Man: Miles Morales. They posted a short 40-second clip to Twitter in which we see Spider-Punk swinging through NYC with Spider-Verse’s distinct movement flow and the character’s yellow stroke. “I’m trying to make a mod that adds Spider-Punk’s outline effects from Across the Spider-Verse in the game,” Galan tweeted, adding that they’re also working to make the model go black and white when idol.RELATED:The Flash Bombing Is A Good ThingThe model comes from @DeadGunned and is available to download right now. It’s based on the movie version of Spider-Punk, giving him the mohawk and blue shirt under his leather jacket. It even has all of his badges, like the anarchy symbol. To get the model, you need the Suit Adding Tool for Miles Morales, the Suit Name Importer, Spider-Man Miles Morales PC Modding Tool, and Spider-Man PC Modding Tool. These are all linked onthe mod page itself.

The signature Spider-Verse movement actually comes from a power-upadded in the Miles Morales spin-off, so he’s currently animated on two’s instead of three’s. However, the new suit and outline come courtesy of the two modders, with plans to expand beyond the yellow outline to add more elements of the movie’s animation style to bring Spider-Punk to life in the games like never before.

The video went viral overnight, garnering 3.2 million views with 63,000 likes and over 9,000 retweets. “I didn’t expect this to blow up,” Galan said in a follow-up post. “@DeadGunned is the modeler of the Spider-Punk suit. I’m just trying to figure out how to do the Outline effect.”

Others have asked about certain effects like the paper cutout which makes Spider-Punk look as though he was ripped from a magazine, but Galan has not yet replied. He did, however, reply to a comment asking about black-and-white idoling, which is currently on the roadmap for the mod.

You can’t download it yet, but if you want to keep up to date, expect Galan to share updates on their Twitter.
